I am actually scared of the jade golems seem too opressive to play against, yeah you lose little tempo early but then you get huge minions all the time for cheap.. it might be they got a good hand though.. but the gameplay shown make you doubt the blizzard playtesters.
I really think people are overestimating jade druid, and Jade Idol is not that strong.. 90% of games end before fatigue, so it is irrelevant..
By its own existance a 1mana card invalidates an entire game mechanic (fatigue) and deck archetypes (mill, attrition control decks).
It's HORRIBLE game design.
Well, I am not saying that it is a great game design, I am saying it is not as good as people may think.. most games you never go near fatigue, so it is not game breaking as people say.. and even if it was, even if it makes druid king of control, which I doubt, people can just play fast decks or combo decks..
It's not game breaking because of fatigue. It's game breaking because it puts a 1 mana 9/9, a 1 mana 10/10 and a 1 mana 11/11 in your deck. They aren't bad topdecks.
you guys are way overreacting without even playing the cards. the show matches tell us nothing because neither deck is optimized. besides, the way I see it, aggro beats jade, jade beats control, and control beats aggro. it's a rock-paper-scissors game and it's good. haven't the community been crying since day one of some deck X that beats all other decks and has no counter? well now every deck has a strength and every deck has a counter...it's exactly what the community has been whining for over the past 2 years
Makes sense since we saw TWO games w/ Golems, and have played ZERO games with them.
Golems = OP! OP! OP! The sky is falling...
P.S. They do seem a "little" OP, but maybe we should wait before our declaration of the Apocalypse.
anyone that has a decent knowledge and understanding of hearthstone could play out the games in their head without actually using the cards. and jade golems are busted. the only way you lose is if you somehow die before say turn 6 or 7. but in that case if that kind of fast deck is in the meta you just throw in early game tech that stalls like doomsayers or something. no control deck has the removal to keep up with golems and no tempo deck can go toe to toe with the golems
Freeze mage says hi, Freeze mage has all the tools to freeze golems in place and then burn Face, well that'll work against Jade shamman at least because JADE ROGUE IS NOT AND WILL NOT BE A THING and Druid in general (even jade druid) could play armor gain cards if Freeze mage becomes too problematic for him.
in theory freeze mage does counter it, but also what if the golem druid teched in a mad scientist and/or some healing to deal with the alex. and even if u blizzard blizzard flamestrike it wont matter because each turn you try to residually chip away at the golem army its only going to grow bigger each turn
I'll wait for the actual release and a bit of the initial meta to lose all hope but man, i thought they play tested cards thoroughly, Frodan even overextended like crazy, in an actual game with a refined list, no amount of board clears will stop that deck.
Imagine a Fandral + 3/4 or even more Idols, easily doable due to Nourish and Emperor until rotation. I expect this to get a 1 mana nerf minimum in the weeks following MSG.

basically anything with summon a jade golem as the deathrattle is completely insane. Yes you can silence but how much silence do you plan on running in your deck? You going to use a Hex on a Jade Swarmer because it'll summon an 8/8? Yeah probably, but then you are spread really thin on removal.
And the tempo you get in the late game is crazy too. Suddenly a 2 mana card can summon a huge minion. The only strategy is to rush Jade Golem decks down because their early game isn't great.
I think that against aggro and aggro-midrange it will not be stronger than current midrange druid. Zoo, facehunt, tempomage, midrange shaman with god-hand can screw jade druid even faster then current druid versions. But of course in control matchups Jade Druid will be god tier deck. So actually rock-paper-scissors principle is still here.
You tkought you could play control decks after MsG? LuLz, it will be retarded jade meta fighting against super cancer pally/hunt to counter them.
btw rip warrior
The meta is clearly going to be a triangle with the jade lotus countering control, control countering aggro and aggro countering jade lotus. I'm not sure where tempo and mid range will fit in now though...
I'm gonna build a Jade Ramp Druid and Aggro Pirate Warrior. I might doodla a bit around with a highlander Mage deck (Kabal/Reno) if I get nice drops from packs, but that's generally it.
I wouldn't cry that much though, I've checked the forums about C'Thun and WotOG and ppl cried around as much as they do now.

C'thun can be answered, how do you counter an infinite supply of 10+/10+ minions during endgame?
End the game before the endgame. I just think it's to early to say Jade Druid is the new Shaman with a deck that's unbeatable. I'll make one myself and check it out, but the deck WILL be slow, and you'll either pop Jade Golems out of weak spells/weak minions, overpriced btw, and lose tempo all the time, or try to gain tempo and react to what's going on board. With this, you'll either buff golems consistently, but lose hard before you can get them into meaingful shape (probably around the time you'll be able to play Aya Blackpaw), as you'll be getting a lot of face damage, coming from aggro or miracle decks. On the other hand, you're going to play a standard Ramp Druid without most of the tools you usually have and little Jade Golem buffs.
I won't argue that it seems Control Warrior will die, as Jade Druid will compete in that field. Apart from that deck, I wouldn't be that scared - the Druid will have to cast 10 Jade Golem cards to get a 10/10. 10 cards! So either he plays on curve and slaps crap value on the board most of the time, or ramps like crazy in order to late game flood the board. Either way, aggro wins.

It's just incredibly sad that there will be only one viable deck to compete during endgame to me "control" means exactly that - trying to get to the endgame and win it... everything else is midrange IMO, so it is not just control warrior, but control as awhole that dies. there will be nothing left to take care of aggro but overpowered midrange stuff, which seems exactly what this expansion is about and which is excactly what many players seem to be sick and tired of...
It is, unfortunately. HOWEVER, I've managed to look through the new Druid cards, and he's got only 10 Jade Golem summons (if you include max copies of each "Summon Jade Golem" card, with Aya in mind), unless Jade Idol gets cycled endlessly. So it might not be that bad. Fatiuge decks will be smashed completely, including mill decks (unless Jade Idol gets milled). Plus, we've got new AoE's, so it MIGHT not be that bad, and there's always that Taunt Warrior (which will be a so-so deck at best, but who knows?).
To be completely honest, I'm more scared with Beast Druid, as that deck might be capable of sudden ramping out of control with Enchanted Raven, Living Roots and Pilfered Power, as Mark of the Lotus is also a thing. Imagine T1 - Roots, T2 - Roots, T3 - Coin Mark with Pilfered...
Guys if you think that you will beat jade druid with aggro or combo you are dead wrong. The only jade card druid needs it's Jade Idol that's it.Then you can fill the rest of the deck with anti aggro tools(like THEE END IS COOOMING) and anti otk tools(like that armor up card).Druids decimate freeze mage so why would any other combo deck fare any better?
The only possible counters are super effiecient midrange and tempo decks like midshaman and dragon warrior or a greedier jade deck lol.
So blizzard killed almost all the archetypes with one card lol!
I've been playing HS since July 2016, which means that only recently I've managed to get enough dust to make Control Warr decks, that I really like (even tho I'm shit at them, practice makes perfect). It's sad I'll leave them shelved for some time and maybe I'll start playing Wild. And I get your point, we're riding on the same cart. Maybe Jade Druid won't be so OP, will have to check.

So either play aggro or midrange. What if I like to play Control? What if I like to see my Elyse/Monkey effect go off? What if I like to play slow Dragon Pala to summon a bunch of dragons? What if I like to have fun instead to smorc face and win by turn 6?

It was one game. With Johnny lists. And an opponent who didn't have any answers. On purpose.
Christ. Is this what happens when C-students have unsupervised access to the internet?
Meh, goons will snowball and will kill you before ur 3rd golem.
Kun the Forgotten King is actualy op card, which highly rewards ramping as fast as possible to 10 mana for a sickest turn!

Guess "fuck me" is the answer.
