I agree with LinkofKalos that it could be the year of the Kraken, as opposed to the actual calendar year. That being said, it still seems like we'll see the expansion release before the end of December if they want the following expansion to release around the same time WotOGs did.
Pretty sure I remember them saying that they'll release 2 expansions and 1 adventure per year, so until they prove that to be incorrect I'll kee believing that schedule.
That would mean they release 2 expansions back to back in a short period of time, which i think is a) too much and b) unlikely
You cannot release too much content at once, its too risky. You would loose more than you gain, since new players are needed and they sure wouldnt be happy about that and might just leave because of it.
Last year we had The Grand Tournament and League of Explorers both released within 3 months of each other, and 3 months will be in between Karazhan and the middle of December. .. so yes it's possible and will probably happen.
Let's just face the fact we got 2/3 expansions for this year. We got Whispers of the Old Gods as well as the more recently One Night in Karazhan to chillax after the hard fight against the Old Gods (and well I guess they literally got defeated from the current meta lol). What are you guys thinking will be the next expansion with around 150 new cards? The theme is what I am asking for. Don't want to open a new thread for that so I thought to write it here.
I guess that we will face off a new enemy type again and since the Old Gods were all in the same expansion, it is clear that we gotta have to get a new big boss. Since the Lichking will wait, probably until next year, there have to be other bosses from the classic or burning crusade expansion. I assume we will see more of a demonic expansion including Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden (whitch would perfectly fit into the Legion release) and Mannoroth. Otherwise, I guess something like Kael'Thas and his brothers might be a thing, including Lady Vashj, Gruul 2.0 and whatever more.
What do you guys think? I have no other idea what might come out next
Blizzard will announce a new expansion at Blizzcon, due out by mid-december. How do I know? Same way I predicted when WotOG came out. Financial quarters. Ultimately, Blizz reports to it's shareholders. It's shareholders want to be constantly making money, so Blizzard needs to make money. Any time there is a lull in all of their games, Blizz needs to do something to spice it up, ESPECIALLY in the winter quarter. I would expect to see a big Holiday event in Overwatch, probably the Karazhan patch for WoW, maybe some balance changes for Starcraft 2, very please hopefully some remastered form of Diablo since Blizzard hasn't touched that IP in a bit and yes, of course Hearthstone xpac. Nothing a company loves more than a strong holiday season, as it allows them to basically coast through until the end of the first quarter.

For all those that have doubts the next expansion will come out 100% before the end of 2016, because this is the official rlease schedule. I think that it will be released on december after a presentation at blizzcon too. Probably we will start to hear something at end of november start of december. What to expect? I know nothing about WoW lore so I can't imagine. It's higly probable they plan to release something really big due to the fact that the next expansion will hit 5 month later and they will cut 2 adventures ,BRM and LOE, and 1 expansion TGT.

It's two expansions and 1 adventure per calender year, not standard year. Not releasing a set in the November/December window would be a huge business mistake in terms of revenue generation, it's never going to happen.
If this happens, hearthstone would be more mindblowing than actually World of Warcraft as we could see Sargeras earlier than them lol
same happened to n'zoth , but really sargeras will NEVER come to hearthstone ... he is overpowered in lore , they should add something like 5 cards for sargeras , if you have all 5 cards in your hand , you summon him and win the game

Yeah were not gonna get any sort of preview until Blizzcon then in the following 3-4 weeks will be getting loads of cards dumped everyday. Just doesn't make sense that they would do it Mid October just a couple weeks before the con.

Exodia, anyone?
exactly . the forbidden one deck synergy xd the 5 cards should be artifacts used to summon sargeras (each costing 2 mana , so making it balanced by letting it only happen on turn 10)
Alright we can already guess about new cards coming out. I already got a few class cards that will definitely come out (including the reason why). Every class got a 1 mana 1/3 minion now (Warrior (Enrage), Shaman (Overload), Warlock (Discard), Paladin (Murloc), Priest (Draw by healing), Mage (+1 Attack for each spell)) except a few classes (Druid, Rogue, Hunter). I am guessing that these 3 classes will get their own 1 mana 1/3 minions that will probably synergize with the specific class mechanic. Druid as an example could be either a beast or might actually give you 1 extra mana crystal this turn only, Hunter could be something like deal 1 damage to the enemy hero and rogue something like deal 1 damage to an undamaged character. Something like that will definitely come. Another thing we might actually think of is a legendary rogue minion that triggers the next combo card directly (and you will definitely get value out of it as you won't be forced to play a card first and can change your playstiöe like that) or maybe even all combos triggered like Fandral does with choose one. What do you guys think? Did you find other cards that might come out? Maybe Blizz is even forcing the 4 mana 7/7 types as hunter has one as well if your hand is empty (forgot the name of the minion tough). Or even another 20 mana giant that costs 1 less for each healing you did (might actually help a lot against aggro and is mediocre against midrange and control). Are there more cards we might already think of?

Eh, these ideas would be too OP actually. The 1/3 minion usually has an effect to do with "Whenever...". So....
Whenever something, Druid gains one mana crystal to use this turn?
Whenever something, Rogue deals 1 damage to an undamaged character?
Whenever something, Hunter deals 1 damage to the enemy face? (aka pushing Hunter even more aggressive) ... No Thx..
new expansion need balance the card especially stupid greedy deck. 20 legendary in 1 deck still can win every games. Nerf aggro wont works.
without aggro or otk . zero chance to win. they just drop legendary every turn and become aka pay to win.
normal control warrior that have 5-6 legend= zero chance (20 legendary value> 6 legendary value). mid range= depend on draw. only aggro have chance to beat them in turn 5-6.

Blizzcon is gonna reveal something for sure, as Blizzard already said they are going to make 2 expansions + 1 adventure per year.
The end is coming!

Does it mean Blackrock Mountain will be relegated to Wild soon?
A glorious bundle of salt.
