Considering Face Hunter,Pirate Warrior,Zoolock etc, Quest Paladin should be good enough to be effective this meta. I ran a few matches with it and got 6-1. What I am wondering is why is this not picked up? It struggles a bit against Priest but still it's not insta concede level difficult.
Rogue beat them very often and have much presence in this meta and the deck don't have an easy match vs Galakrond agressive decks like warrior and warlock.
It is a meta call deck when control become too strong.
Eventually putting out one egg at the time every turn is most likely not fast enough for Galkrond Warriors Rogue etc. and Shamans and Priest have some tools to deal with the eggs.

Thoughts?
Zephrys Sap Plague of Death Hex (less so than before)
The deck crazy linear, and it's not actually doing anything that powerful. Cheap vanilla 8/8's and 7/7's just aren't that powerful right now (which is an insane sentence to write). And there aren't really any other deathrattles that add any dynamism to the deck.
And like Wingdude said, Priest does virtually the same thing better than Paladin. Priest even does Albatros tricks better.
Shotbot makes the early game better for sure, but it's end mid-to-end-game is still pretty "meh."
Pretty much what most people said. There needs to be better deathrattles, not reborn minions. Stats alone that come out that slow aren't enough (7/7s are crazy in the first 5 turns, not the second 5). The other problem is you need to include a bunch of reborn minions to complete the quest on time, but those same minions are very underwhelming late game. Making a 2/2 reborn that might have some extra effect is just not enough.
The eggs, whelps, whatever are also garbage in this deck without the quest going, so if you happen to whiff your reborn minions there are a lot of "dead" cards. The deck is only good against the slowest of slow decks, and even then it's not guaranteed. If no good deathrattles come out this year, it'll just never see play.
In addition to what others have said, I will add that quest paladin gets boring pretty quickly. There is not much going on there in terms of strategy or decision making or even variability from game to game.
It's a little sad that the Paladin quest is so one-dimensional.
Without any real powerful deathrattle effects it's dead in the water.
Maybe they should bring back Sylvanas from the Hall of Fame. In the current meta she doesn't feel bonkers OP at 6 mana as she used to be.
They tried that back in October and November. Just about every deck was running Sylvanas cause it's a card you have to play around to an extreme degree.

Because Priest does the same but better.

Maybe it will get played soon, since they revealed a new Paladin reborn mech.
Silence and hexes are everywhere so that doesnt help. Talrissa Quest Pal is a hell of a lot of fun when it works though.
Because the meta is too fast.
imo they should've added more reborn minons in DoD. I don't really see any amazing deathrattle minions worth cloning from DoD either.
Zephrys
Sap
Plague of Death
