I just built a Reno Priest deck after getting flattened by one because I missed the good old days of Raza Priest. Yes, I know Raza isn't nearly as good as he used to be. And I am also aware that this isn't really a meta deck, but there has to be something I can change about this to make it a little better. I've pulled a combo off once, and I have maybe won two other games. It's lacking something, and I'm not sure what it is. Should I change it from a combo deck to a Dragon deck? Shift the focus completely? I'm struggling here.
Well, first of all, it depends on what are you struggling with. Are you having problems with aggro that just deal too much damage to you to stabilize? are you being crushed by greedy decks that outvalues you? By midrange that make difficult boards to remove? How do you feel you are getting flattened?. If you are getting rushed early you can be less gredy and add more early game minions to help you reach the late game or less expensive removals. If you face a lot of greedy decks you can add cards that lets you make more damage or be a little more agressive. It depends on what are you facing and I'm not really familiar with raza priest so I don't know what could exactly improve it but you can simple try to change a few cards and see if it feels better. Also you can look in your collection with more attention to see if there is something that could really help the deck, It's really easy to dismiss cards that could work wonders in a certain types of decks but are easily overlooked for more popular cards. You could try for example Clockwork Automaton to make the machine gun more dangerous and add a must remove minion on the board, Alextrasa to help you put your opponent on killing range, something like Obsidian Statue or Convincing Infiltrator to get some useful taunts, try changing some cards around and see how it feels. Also, when you play check out for cards that stays too long in your hand and question yourself if they are really helping you, some cards seems really good but you usually don't use them and they can mess with your draw/mulligan.
