Thalnos is not essential for miracle but xaril is very important since every poison from xaril is very good for miracle (maybe not stealth one). I recommend that you to craft xaril before playing miracle
I play an miracle rouge without legendaries (i dont own any of the ones i want to use) and im currently 10-4, but im also only playing at like rank 12-11 right now so it might just be becous people suck at that rank...
It's probably a lot better with the legendaries....
I personally feel like the legendaries in Miracle Rogue are more of a luxury than they are absolutely necessary to the deck. With or without Bloodmage Thalnos, Edwin VanCleef, Xaril, Poisoned Mind, and/or Leeroy Jenkins, the deck will still do what it's supposed to do for the most part: Stay alive until Gadgetzan Auctioneer turn, cycle your deck, and then kill your opponent. It just might be a little more awkward or a little less efficient without some of these cards, but by no means does that make the deck not worth playing if you don't have them to start in my opinion.

thalnos can be replaced with Loot Hoarder or [card]Kobold Geomancer[/card].
xaril for Leeroy Jenkins or Reckless Rocketeer
