Which Witch? A Special Edition Card Design Competition
Hello everybody! In addition to our regular competition this week, we're also running a competition in honour of our last class design competition winner, the 'Sea Witch Class' which won 'Deathwing Needs A Friendwing', our fourth class creation competition. It's time for you to help the Sea Witch show Hagatha who rules the roost!
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
Your card must be a Sea Witch class card. To see the existing Sea Witch class in its entirety, click on the delightful banner above.
Your card must use the Sea Witch class's card border. In Hearthcards.net, you can find this by clicking "Custom Classes" (directly to the right of "2. Choose a Class") and selecting "Sea Witch by McF4rtson", the first one on the bottom row.
Your card must be a Witchwood card.

Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
Feel free to use the Sea Witch's custom keyword - Reservoir!
Reservoir is the class' keyword. A little complex, though easy to understand once seen in action, Reservoir is essentially a Battlecry with a conditional effect, that is, deck size. It operates much like Combo, which is also a conditional Battlecry-like effect. In addition, like most cards with a conditional effect, a yellow glow will appear around a Reservoir card if it meets its requirement.
With echo, you can do a variable amount of damage to kill one or more targets and/or use it to up the size of your deck. The wording on adding Ocean Depths to your deck seems inconsistent across the cards McF4rtson made, but I took the wording of this from Saltspring Wand.
Tis' all I got. I'm not very good with these kind of competitions since it's a bit harder to figure out what a fan-made class needs. So, I'll just go with the deck filling mechanic.
I was not aware of this competition occurring so soon. In fact, if it were up to me, it would have been a contest not centered around my class by the mechanic of shuffling cards into your deck, like Baleful Banker.
In any case, feel free to reply to me if you need a bit of guidance from me.
Here is a quick and dirty rundown of the themes used in the Sea Witch class:
Balanced class. Can play as aggro, midrange, control, or combo.
Reservoir keyword.
Reasonable card draw power.
Healing and weapons. They make the greatest use of Lifesteal out of all the classes.
Ocean Depths.
The class gains advantage from shuffling in cards to the deck, usually as value. Sometimes, it is tempo. (For example, whenever you shuffle a card into your deck, gain +x/+x)
There are several "pushed" themes in Sea Witch: Murloc, Low Reservoir + Crossbolter combo (tries to make the deck as small as possible), Freeze + Quest, High Reservoir Control (tries to make the deck as big as possible), Big Sea Witch (centering around cheating out minions that were shuffled into the deck), and Lifesteal/Heal Witch Control (using the KAC legendary weapon and healing cards)
Some class nuances: Minions tend to be subtly flexible, meaning they can be played in several different decks. Lastly, this class lacks AOE but had great single-target. So, you can try to create a AOE minion to help fix this problem, or a single-target removal minion/card to further enhance the playstyle.
IN REPLY TO THE POSTS ABOVE ME:
Yes, the wording is consistently inconsistent :^) After the classic set, I shortened the wording from "Shuffle an 'Ocean Depths' into your deck" to "Add an Ocean Depths to your deck" to save space. Feel free to use the latter.
I like the use of Echo so far, really adds to the already flexible class identity.
So, it took me a while to come up with a card that would actually make sense to be a Witchwood card. I feel that without Rush, Echo or Even/Odd-restrictions, a card could easily just pass up as anything from any other card set. How is this?
I feel that it's simple, but its design works. Good healing and card draw provided you have the Ocean Depths to draw.

Very believable card. It's sort of like Warpath, it's kind of meh at its first cast, but once you spend 4 mana, you heal for 4 and draw 2 (compared to Shield Block), then at 6, you almost get a Lay on Hands, provided you shuffled enough OD prior.

I'd say it's a bit on the weak side. Even if you get both for a 4 mana 8/8, which is admittedly good, they're just stats without much effect later on in the game.
Also, since it is the Witchwood, try swamp monsters.

Wished to be pink.
Then did.
Then fired myself.
Then did again.

I had a couple of initial ideas, both centered around the new Witchwood keywords combined with Ocean Depths from the Sea Witch class:
EDIT: My mistake! The Marshdweller Naga should have Battlecry on it. I'll edit the card later.

If you have a nose for artefacts, you can find this rune in the witchwood ☠️
;)
It is great class effect, i really like it
bepisYou take a card from your deck and ALSO get a rune in your hand. What’s not clear?
“Draw a card and add a copy of ‘Rune of the Ocean’ to your hand.”
Final Poll is up now!
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
