Ok so I updated the concept a bit for my card, due to it being too broken for certain classes. So, here it is:
The idea is that in his hurry to leave the Shady Merchant drops the coins, which then for mystical reasons resign themselves to only be usable for discard purposes ;). Mostly though its due to the fact that I find discard frustrating so adding some ways to avoid discarding actually important cards without relying on RNGesus could make it an interesting Control archetype. Mostly curious on balance now since I have been told both that the statline is too forgiving (powerful) and that it is too weak, however, personally I feel that this is just right (takes a bit of effort to remove, so there is a chance for Double Coin, but isn't a premium statted card). I welcome more suggestions.

-Brood of Malygos: I really like this card, but I would make the mana cost higher, maybe like three mana? Leaving its mana cost in 0 can enable really powerful combos (Earth Elemental, Earth Elemental, next turn 0 mana +6 spell damage, 14 damage Frost Shocks, 22 damage Lava Bursts or 18 damage Lighting Bolts, this by just running some Earth Elementals those can fit easily in Control Shaman).
-Chained Knight: Also kind of powerful, blessing of might makes it a 5/2 for 0 mana. I would lower its attack to 1.
-Ancient Mage: Too powerful for sure. Imagine a mage with Preparation as her Hero Power, or any Hero with the ability of summoning 8 drops with Forbidden Shapping.
I didn't make these cards but I'll comment and counter-comment on them regardless.
Brood of Malygos you're right about.
Chained Knight: It's technically a 2-card 1 mana combo which is worth 1.5 mana because using two cards to do 1 thing is something you have to factor into balancing. I agree with changing it to a 1/2 as well, as Can't attack on a 0 mana minion isn't much of a setback given that you've built a deck that is structured around that mechanic (taunts, silences etc.). The wording on this card is incorrect, but also the art... That's a Wrathguard, a demon of the Burning Legion, and definitely not a paladin card...
Ancient Mage is too complicated and powerful, like you said, but it may also be really bad. Imagine having Counterfeit Coin as your hero power, or Innervate. Also keeping in mind that, presumably, the new Hero Power still costs (2), because that's what all vanilla Hero Powers cost. If the HP cost 0, then it would for sure be OP, but I don't think that's the intention. Also the wording here is all off, and the punctuation is pretty bad (put a full stop at the end of the card!). Should read "Battlecry: Discover a 0-Cost spell (from any class). That spell replaces your Hero Power." And maybe "That spell replaces your Hero Power, and costs (2)."
Which one do you guys like more? Both have obvious synergies with minions that are low-health, have a low-value-body with a good battlecry or cards with Deathrattle like Devilsaur Egg.

Should probably be "Destroy a friendly minion and summon a Demon with stats equal to its Cost" (see Darkspeaker for wording comparison). The second one should probably be a Shaman card, if I'm honest, and could even summon a minion that costs (1) more, given how Evolve is multi-target and only costs (1).
I'm not sure I can edit this post properly... It's not showing up the edits for me, but let me know if this is: EDIT: You can change the Demon to a different name, like, "Forged Demon" to differentiate it as a token rather than a random minion from the Demon tribe.

I've got a couple of ideas for this in the bank, and in fact, I had a couple of cards for this in the bank too, from my latest Rogue expansion. Here are those cards, in case you want to see them:
Dirty Trick and Shadow Focus are basically inversions of Shadowstep and Preparation. So there's six of those cards, and then there are the cards I just came up with...
Ivar Axetogrinde is a reference to the summoning quote of Bloodhoof Brave, as it is in that style. Shadespawn is meant to be an inversion of Lightspawn. If summoned without the Battlecry it dies immediately. And Prince Valanar is with the other princes! But he's a Rogue minion because they're the only class with a prevalence of 0-cost cards light Backstab and Counterfeit Coin.
I don't know what to do!! I have so many ideas but... there are too many of them! Help me whittle them down please!! :)
Ok, iv got several versions, what do u think about them? Honestly i kinda dont want to restrict it only for druid, so i kinda like the 2nd version the best. The 3rd one seems kinda clunky. Last one i made for lategame only, although i dont feel like the art screams "heavy hitter" :))

I'm with you. Nr. 2 is the best! Nr.1 is Druid only and we all want hilarious combos! Nr.3 has too much text and...WAIT I actually like Nr.4 a lot as well, mainly because it emphesises that you have to play a control game with this card... Why does this have to be so hard!?
Don't worry too much about the art. It looks great and any card with 888888 all over it looks heavier than before =P

Ha, thanks! i will try to get a couple more responces before i decide on the final version, i feel like (5) 5/3 neutral is late enough in the game that whatever u would pull, your opponent has a chance to deal with it. Statline makes it easilly killable, but also would trade with most things. Kinda like the (5) 5/3 theme which other existing cards run. I think thats ok. Will have to try and think about some other name like u guys suggested, but for now im drawing blank :x

As a certified English-speaker, I think "They cost (0)" fits better. You can still technically use what you've got there, but it makes me uncomfortable to read it. I was thinking the second version, but once again it's swingy enough on your turn that the stats should be a bit less. I did say to look at Coldlight Oraclebut you didn't and know you pay the price!! Should be a 5 mana 3/3— compare Antique Healbot/Corrupted Healbot for the effect.
Now, anyone else have any thoughts on my cards?? (nested in a quote at the top of this page)
Ok, thanks for the 2nd confirmation, i will change it to "they" in the final version. Btw Coldlight Oracle was where i started with this, but i dont feel like it should have that low stats (3/3). It can definitely make for big plays, but it can also make for shitty plays or backfire in a big way, i think that +2 Attack power over what ur suggesting should be justified and make it more viable. U dont agree?

It could still be a 4/4 and I'd be okay with it. The thing I don't like is that it has the kind of Coldlight Oracle effect but it has asymmetrical stats. I'm a stickler for symmetrical stats with this card!

Brood of Malygos - is OP. You can go Double Brood after Elemental Destruction and destroy your opponent with the multitude of strong 1 - 2 mana direct damage cards.
Chained Knight - Great flavor, good Handbuff minion. I like it.
Ancient Mage - How much does the Hero Power cost? If 2, its probably okayish, otherwise its broken.
Cool Card. I saw a suggestion to make it increase more rapidly and I think its a good idea to increment it in 2s. Pyros 2.0 in a class that doesn't won't to play slow, could be interesting.
Starsurge: A card obviously for Maly Druid, might be broken in that archetype, but I just loved this idea Chillwind Totem: I got the idea of this card when I saw Ice Breaker. A (maybe) repeatable freeze effect, but more importantly an easy trigger for that card. Chromie: An interesting combo card, balancing the sats were really hard to balance on this one (might be Op right now), it could use some tweaking.
Starsurge: You are right it is super broken. I mean if the improved moonfires weren't good enough you can proceed by swiping the opponent's face for good measure.
Chillwind Totem: Very nice card. Totem Synergy and Freeze Synergy in one card. Considering the upcoming expansion I really like the possibilities it opens up, Let's not forget the filthy Maly OTK shenanigans you can pull in Wild.
Chromie: Broken due to Malygos and probably some other cards as well. Typical Scenario: I play Malygos on 9 (suppose against non-Shaman or Mage so no poly effects), opponent either kills it or leaves it up, either way you have a turn to play spells as if Malygos was completely free. If reworked it could be pretty cool. I will have to think on this, if I have any suggestion I'll make sure to share.

So u think (5) 4/4 would be fine? I guess i wouldnt be opposed to that ... just poor priest :D but hey, he wouldnt rly waste SW:D on this anyway and to be low enough for sw:p is way to low attack for my taste for this :)

I had that initially, but I wasn't sure if it is clear enough that if you destroy a 6 drop, it will have 6/6 stats. I like the first card more, but it might be too strong.
As for your cards: I like Ivar but think he might be too good. Maybe fiddle with the stats a bit. Paid Mercenary has a nice concept as well, but I'd change her to only require 1 0-cost spell and if you can't pay it give her -3/-3. I like these two the most.
And btw, minions can't have 0 health. NEVER. They have at least 1 at all times.

I really liked this design! But I would give the token another name. How about calling the card Shady Ritualist or something else that creates a 0 mana 1/1 Sacrificial Demon. In that way, you can use the demon if you really need the tempo. Also it would balance the power level of discard mechanic since Cruel Dinomancer exists

I mean this is more geared towards Control so 1/1 tokens aren't really smth you need. Cruel Dinomancer is already bad enough, but I really like the idea of sacrificing demons in hand for the discard. Well, I guess I have smth more to think about since a Ritualist would fit the Warlock theme more as well as having demons be sacrificed for the discard. Thanks for the feedback :).
Hi guys. I have been participating these competitions a lot but I almost never get the chance to get on finals. To be fair, your designs were so much better than mine and I learned so much from you guys. This competition I tried to put all those knowledge together and did a serious thinking. Here is my idea that inspired by the new mage legendary Sindragosa.
You can combo with some freeze cards and use your hero power to freeze stuff.
I really need your help and I will return the favor. What do you guys think? I am mostly not sure about the stats.
I think its fine as it is. Making the main dragon anymore powerful would be too strong, while having tokens with 0 attack guarantees that it isn't very easy to proc, without Hero Power. Would probably be a good fit in a Midrange Freeze Deck, with Cryomancer and Coldwraith. I would work instead on finding a more fitting token. Frostbite is more of a spell name.

Hmm, mby give it 3 hp so it matches the art :D but then again, that might be a bit harder to kill off (even tho it still dies to hellfire).
About the theme: its cool, even tho a bit broad. Which might be ok, at least there will be a lot of different ideas. I like what i came up with and am trying to balance it. It feels yogg-ish in the sense of power level and randomness, kinda like it :D

Thanks. The italic text should probably say "(from any class)", which would be at least a bit more consistent with cards like Swashburglar and Nefarian. Also, do you get a copy of the spell you Discovered?
