Obvious combo with Frost Nova for some decent card draw. Starts being better than Arcane Intellect with 3 enemy minions on the board (although obviously you don't draw through your deck). Could be used in a Freeze style deck, but honestly, I just loved the art and felt that Mage was a better fit for the effect than Shaman.
This card would work well in aggro Murloc decks. This kind of draw mechanic would work well there, but not be very useful in other types of decks. It's only good for drawing Murlocs, obviously, and also works well with Warlock discard mechanics. If you drew a Fist of Jaraxxus, for example, you wouldn't mind discarding it.
So, I went a little out of the box this week but I hope you like it!
Flavor: Grimscale murlocs are undead murlocs reanimated by the Scourge, led by the Lich King. Therefor I thought of this card. It would be nice having a card that really embraces the lore of Warcraft while at the same time being playable (in Murloc decks).
Balance: Baseline stats for a 3-drop with a semi-strong effect. However the effect is mirrored so your opponent may also earn on this being in play. This minion is easy to kill and the minions it may summon are low health aswell (Grimscale Oracle). 4/3 is weaker than 3/4 as a 4/3 dies to several 2-drops. The Necromancer is a bit clunky because you will probably not want to play this on curve so that's another thing that I think justifies its 3 mana cost.
Since Old Murk Eye is getting rotated out I feel like this would be a good replacement.
Just an idea.
Edit: Fixed card wording.
"As housecarl I am sworn to your service. I will protect you and all you own, with my life." - Lydia of Whiterun
Protecting their own against the mighty who would take advantage of them.
