Just opened a golden Deathwing, and although I am really happy to get my first ever golden legendary, I am considering dusting him for cards that are actually playable. I still don't have Boom, and my Combo Druid is hurting for those Ancient of Lore's. I realize how rare it is to find a golden legend, but the fact that he is almost unplayable is the only reason I'm even considering to dust him.
So what do you think? Dust the ol' guy or keep him for novelty?

I got my golden shaman portrait exclusively with Control Shaman builds. I hate how it is worthless now that all these cancerous shaman players have it too.
I personally would turn him into a Boom or a couple of Epics if I was in your position; however, there's something to be said about keeping him for the cool factor if you're less inclined to worry about laddering.
Dude, that card has got to be the absolute gnarliest card to play. There are some viable dragon warrior that play him. Don't dust a good golden legendary, you'll regret it!
Get the Doctor. I have a golden sneed, and all he does is sit in my collection and look pretty. Better to convert deathwing into a card that can go in every deck.
Hmmmm this is a tough one. Sure you could go for Dr. Balanced, Sylvanas, Ancients, etc. But on the other hand Deathwing is in fact quite usable in a Dragon warrior or a good ol' Reno deck.
I'm leaning more towards the keep it side of things. Learn from me.... I once dusted a gold Archmage.
1600 dust doesn't take that long to get though. If you dust him there will be a day when you regret it. Your collection will grow if you keep playing and you will have Boom soon regardless.
The hearthstone gods speak by which cards they choose to give you golden. If you disenchant golden deathwing, i will murder you through your computer screen. DW's not even a bad card. I used to run him in all my rogue decks (because he has really good synergy with weapon classes considering that weapons are all you can use the turn you play him. No one expects DW and I have actually won a lot of games with him. Gold legendaries are extremely rare and the novelty of having one is worth keeping. Why bother even playing Hearthstone at all if youre just going to copy net decks anyway? (I do recommend crafting boom though because he does go in almost every deck, although hes dropped a lot of value recently) Never ever disenchant cards unless you have duplicates. Youll regret it, because its terrible value. The dust you get from DEing even epics is pretty much worthless. The only card I ever disenchanted was my 2nd (3rd, 4th, and 5th) charged hammers because theres literally no reason to ever possibly play more than 1 in a deck

I have golden Sneed too and have same feelings. But golden Sneed is like all golden legendaries in one so I can understand us. But Deathwing... Deathwing is completely unplayable in competitive Hearthstone trash. Golden Deathwing is amazing because it's 1600 dust. If you don't have best card in the game, it's very easy decision: dust this useless card and get Dr. Boom.

I've regretted almost every legendary card I have DE'd. I'm embarrassed to say that in my early days I DE'd a certain legendary, thinking I'd never use it, and now regret it immensely. Gonna have to spoiler it it's so bad.

Edit: or I'm an idiot. Is the code not [spoiler] on this forum?

Except that he isn't unplayable.
I literally seen him zero times in constructed during last five seasons. That's how playable he is.
I have a dragon warrior that runs him as a win condition vs fatigue aaaand it does the trick every time.. plus he's hilarious to play against some one who wasted all their removal earlier, flood the board with no hand, Insta-concede
Tho in your scenario i would DE him too, but just play him a few times because its awesome.. THEN de him

He's playable. I'd keep it and just save up dust for boom. It's just so inefficient to dust a playable gold legendary.
You are not prepared!
Dust him and get yourself a normal Deathwing. EleGiggle.

Well on one hand, Deathwing is the ULTIMATE last resort card, and you have him in golden.
On the other hand, Doctor Balanced!
I think go for Dr. Balanced.

Either keep him or dust him for a good legendary.

I suggest keeping him. Deathwing's an amazing card imo.

English is not my native language, so, with a high probability, mistakes were made.
You got to keep it man. Theres going to be a dragon expan... oh wait. Theres going to be a discard your entire hand expansion.

THIS WILD DECK IS AWESOME!!!!
If you can't make a Golden Deathwing work in a deck, just quit and play Candy Crush.
