It is too slow and probably will stay in hand as a dead card most of the time because there are much better cards to play every turn. I think it will exist only in extremely fun decks or mill.
Actually, I see a new kind of deck opening up to Warlock's with this. Okay, this may seem like a stretch, but if the Warlock was to use its hero power the first few turns, then turn 4 it could play this card!
I'm waiting for the reveal of the card that lets you hold more than 10 cards in hand so I can play FREE Mountain Giants! until that time, I don't see this card as being playable

So you want to hurt yourself in the first few turns, play nothing, then drop a vanilla minion that doesn't taunt, heal, or have any sort of immediate effect except dying to BGH the next turn. Your idea is cute, but it's time to return to reality.
I don't see it being viable. 8 attack makes him a BGH target. Also, you have to hoard cards if you want to get him out early, meaning you're probably behind on board. If your opponent then has hard removal the turn you drop him, you're going to be so far behind on tempo that you probably just lose the game.
Im really annoyed again, that everyone says this is unplayable before even tested! I like stuff like that blizzard is making for us to get creative. Maybe Alarm-O-bot will be strong again with this - just an idea

I'm a hoot. My point being, it's hard to evaluate this card before we know the full set. What if they release more giants that reduce cost based on other factors like damage taken or minions on board? What if there's a card that gives your minions taunt? Imagine a full board of discount giants with taunt. Suddenly that starts to sound pretty scary and there's no neutral card that would deal with them efficiently, so a lot of classes would have a hard time removing these guys.
