posted a message on (Discussion) A possible Tech card against Secret Paladin to be introduced in the next expansion: What does it need to be?

How about a tech style card that has a 6 cost neutral minion saying "Battlecry: For each enemy secret, destroy a random enemy minion." Legendary of course, but sorta the Harrison Jones for secrets - Mages and Hunters generally don't make a big play using their secrets, and usually not in conjunction with their own minions either. They're more to counter the enemy, not buff their own field. So in that way, you'd get a strong tech card that'd be dead in many situations but in the right spot gives you a major tempo swing - Just like any other tech card.

What the actual fuck? This time last week I could play my (midrange) decks and wreck ladder. Now I can't get a win to save my life. it's one loss after another. I've tried adjusting my decks, I've tried just attributing it to simple bad luck and keeping going, but it's nonstop losses. I've lost 6 ranks SINCE last week, the meta has not changed, and the opponents I have faced have not changed either. SO WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?

So irritated that the same EXACT decks I was facing just a few days ago and tearing apart I now cannot win against.

posted a message on Is it ethically defensible to rope Secret Paladins?

I don't consider roping to be a thing. It's on your turn, it's your time to use. If it's turn 7 and you need time to consider, you have every right to take that time.

I run Deathrattle Rogue sometimes and I have Thing 1 and Thing 2 in the deck. It gets really nasty when I get to Raptor one of them.

Not only that, but you've got a solution for a single class. Let's talk about the rest of the classes. What counter do they get? Kezan Mystic? Hardly sporting, it doesn't destroy all secrets. Other than that there's nothing, which is the problem and why Secret Pally is such an issue.

NOT ALL CLASSES HAVE A COUNTER.

In fact, it's fair to say there is only one single class that does, that being hunter with Flare. I dunno, just my two cents for what it's worth.

So since the last time I've replied, I've crafted a Dreadscale and kept a Powershot subbed in for one of the Crushers. I've got to tell you, either my performance has improved with the deck or the deck's performance has improved with those two additions because this deck seems to begin to wreck everything that comes my way! I'm still so impressed with the concept of the deck build and execution itself that I must reiterate the fact that this is now my gold standard when it comes to hunter Midrange. After crafting and adding in that Dreadscale it really feels like my early game is strong enough to carry into mid and late game and I quite often draw the answers required. Thank you once again for a wonderful deck!

    Yall are paranoid. :>

On topic salt, let's see...Ah, I can't seem to get a proper druid deck together and working. I HAVE one that I'm piecing together and it has all the usual suspects in it, with a twist on playstyle. I want to maximize the potential of the Druids' hero power but in today's meta, either you're against agro and the deck is too slow or you're against control and you don't keep minions on the field long enough to use then in conjunction with your power.

Maybe it's a player skill issue and I just need to get better with the deck. Hrms

Acidmaw might be a good fit for a lategame combo clear. Think about it. Pyromancer + Arcane shot + Acidmaw in one turn = full board clear that still leaves Acidmaw. Of course that's not necessarily what this deck drives to do from my understanding but it's an idea.

I absolutely love the concept of this deck, enough so in fact to craft 2 of the 4 legendaries I needed. I still don't have Dreadscale, so to simulate the effect I subbed in Powershot, and I don't have Alexstrasza so I subbed Dr 7 for that'n. Next one to craft WILL be Dreadscale.

Now I've established that I DO have two cards missing from the guide, and with that said the deck is either hit or miss. When I win, It's just an absolute steamroll...And when I lose it seems like absolutely nothing works and I have no answer to their threats. I still love the deck and I'll be continuing to refine and play the deck because the concept of a midrange hunter that uses dragons is so damn good I can't pass it up. I do have a question: Have you thought about swapping in a Crazed Alchemist? It seems like it would synergize with many cards in the deck and even get an extra charge out of Wild Pyromancer. No idea what would get swapped out and if it was a card with a cost higher than 2 then it seems to Tilt the Elekk a bit to where you lose the majority of Jousts...Then again that could just be bad RNG for me.

Anyways, incredible deck and amazing concept. Just know you got someone here sold on the entire concept and I'll be using this deck as my standard for Midrange for Hunter here on out. :D

posted a message on Are control priest too much?

One of my favorite decks for many seasons now has been my Midrange Shaman. It's a homebrew deck and I pay enough attention to the meta to know how to adjust it to win. It's easily my best deck and it wins against just about anything I face, including Control Priest. I also have a pretty nice Deathrattle Raptor deck that I've homebrewed with some surprise cards that works well against Control Priest as well (though not as well against face hunter...They're still around though the number of them I face is declining).

posted a message on Does Arch-Thief Rafaam have a place in CW?

Well, if he baits out some form of hard removal he's already given you your next card with the Artifact, and if he doesn't bait the removal then congratulations, you got 9 or more damage to smack the opponent with PLUS the Artifact. Of course, I don't have Ysera yet but Rafaam seems like a nice substitute for any deck that would ask for Ysera's services.

posted a message on What to do with all the Rope Warriors?

In a direct response to the actual point of the OP, I'd personally say the opponents are given the time for their turns for a reason. It's their turn, it's their time, they get to choose how to use it...And if they want to rope every turn, that's their prerogative and their right as a player. IT IS THEIR TURN.

That said, I don't see the need for people to rope in the early game. I mean, yeah, take a minute to think about dropping a card but I mean, is it really that hard to drop your 1 drop and pass? As I said though, if that's what they need or want to do, that's up them.

posted a message on Justicar & Shaman Hero Power

I like the idea of Justicar improving the stats on the totems, even at the tradeoff of being able to choose the totem summoned. As it stands right now I DO use Justicar Trueheart in my homebrew shammy deck, because situationally speaking the ability to choose which totem to drop is a gamechanger at that point (for my deck anyways). If the totems instead got a stat boost it would make the ability much more viable and the ability to choose the totem would be less important.

Also, in response to Arcanus, if it were 2 totems at random with no limitation on which totems they were, it'd be a bit broken...Dropping down a Mana Tide + Totem Golem for two seems beyond broken, as an example.
