You poeple don't like because Trump said it. Also, he said that Patron Warrior was not a viable deck and that Dr. Boom would see no play.
He is no that good, he does a lot of misplays but gets lucky.
I don't need Trump to realise this card sucks, although I respect he as a player, he is a very, very good one. Also, Trump said that Patron wasn't going to work because warsong commander worked different before the BRM patch.
And, wtf, luck? a lot of misplays? are you serious? that is hillarious, hahhahahah.
It can be more decent in Arena with the flood of Mages/Paladin...The Stealth means you get guaranteed Divine Shield value unlike Mini-Bot that will always get pinged before it attacks. I

Mehhhhh its stats are way too piss poor for it to do anything. The only way you can expect this thing to contest 3-drops and 4-drops is to buff it with a blessing of might or a velen's chosen and even then you're sinking cards into one minion.
I can definitely see where people aren't happy about this card, but I'm ok with it. When I look at this card, I see something that was very specifically created for buffing. So here's how I look at it, this card + kings you get a piratically guaranteed 6/6 and the first hit is free, so it's like a watered down Ragnaros. You paid 8mana for a 6dmg battlecry, then you have a 6/6 which is just out of range from BGH. That's fair, I'd give it a run.
To everyone saying Silent Knight can be good with buff cards such as Blessing of Might/Kings, it's just not good enough. Paladin has many options when looking for a minion to buff with Divine Shield. Just put the buff on the Shielded Minibot that can come out one turn earlier for one mana less or an Argent Squire for 2 less. Or use a Argent Protector or Coghammer to shield / re-shield your buffed minion. All these options are better than this new Silent Knight card.
The art is great, just like Lowly Squire, but the card is trash. Why release a card that's even worse than the unplayed Undertaker and with the buff being triggered by an even weaker mechanic than the DR that UT has? Lowly Squire could easily have had one more stat somewhere, or something like Inspire: Trasnform into a 2/3 Squire, so that a Hero power would give it the value of a Zombie Chow, but without it being able to get out of control like Undertaker did. Why must they make all the cool looking cards complete garbage?
Silent Knight is terrible, just like so many released so far.
Sure maybe SOME bad cards need to exist, but not this many. And especially not cards that are worse than already unplayed cards. What's the point of that? "Oh here's a card no one plays, let's make a worse version and see if they play it?" #blizzLOGIC or maybe #blizzNOlogic
It sounds pretty lame. But for druids or bloodlust shamans, this might work just fine.
Removals can't hit him since he's stealthy. Boardswipe can't either since he is shielded. A bit of defensiviness overkill, perhaps, but it's almost assured that he'll survived another turn. It's pretty fine, actually. Stickyness has a lot o f value nowadays.
I think it works as an enabler for cards that require some board presence. Stealth gives the ability to dictate when you trade. Divine Shield allows you to take better advantage of buff cards.
Cards like Flametongue Totem, Frostwolf Warlord, Abusive Sargent, Dark Iron Dwarf, Defender of Argus, Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, etc.
Turn 3 Shade, followed by Turn 4 Backstab, Oil doesn't seem as good as Turn 3 Silent Knight, followed by Turn for backstab, Oil.
That 5-2 Divine shield minion sitting on your board seems a lot better than a 6-3 Shade. Also suppose that Rogue wants to play Vanish. Rogue isn't going to play Vanish and Shade in the same deck.
Having Divine Shield and Stealth on the same creature enables strategies that would otherwise not be possible.
For example Priest benefits from having a stealth creature on the board such as Shade of Naxxramas or Gilblin Stalker, because it allows them to dictate trades when playing behind in board control. Or to get more value out of cards like Dark Cultist
The problem is that when priest plays Shade or Gilblin, it takes away Priest's best combo in Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing. Silent Knight is a card that you could drop without having to worry that your opponent will answer your play with consecrate, hellfire, or blizzard, but at the same time retain the threat of clearing the board with Auchenai + Circle.
What this card does is allow control decks to stockpile some board control to use later on in the game, while not having to worry about board clearing spells. I can't tell you how many games as priest, the best thing to do on a given turn is heal and pass. This card is something that you can play without any risk on those turns where there is nothing to do, because you are playing control and your opponent hasn't extended enough to consider clearing the board.
This is a very low risk filler play for control/combo decks that have little to do the first few turns of the game.
The card can play with board wipes that normally aren't possible with other stealth minions, such as Hellfire, Demonwrath, Lightbomb, Circle of Healing, Abomination, Explosive Sheep, etc.
I think the card synergizes especially well with Rogue Cards, like Shadowstep, Cold Blood, Oil, Vanish, etc.
Southsea Deckhand is a very common card to be played in Oil Rogue. I think this replaces it.
Damn people aren't creative enough on this forum...
This card isn't great, but it'll go great in my combo druid, might fit in with my Priest buff deck, and would pair damn nice with Blessing of Kings. And hell, someone mentioned it being a better replacement for Southsea Deckhand in Oil Rogue, which is certainly possible.

Want to guess what Holy Knight is going to look like?? Here is my guess. (fan created card!!!)

2/5
Finally, my dreams of an all stealth decks are drawing closer.
I run a druid deck that rely on sticky minion, and this fit right in.
This card could be surprising. Stealth and divine shield on the same minion could be pretty good.
Knight and Stealth don't go together.
I might try this in aggro pally though, just as a solid buff target.

TGT is looking very, VERY dissapointing.

Staple. Most likely the new 3-drop of the meta.
"Put your face in the light!" - Tirion Fordring
That Christmas pun though.

Seems like everyone keeps bashing this card.

That's a bad comparison, like comparing one of the new Legendary Darkbane's to spidertank.
