This will likely be one of the auto-includes in many mage decks, considering mages seem to get extra versatility through their hero power. Very solid 2 drop and a really good compensation for horrible draws in the beginning, or on failed mulligans.
The real question is: does is make hunter and shadowpriest powers do 3 (or even 4 with double Shadowform) damage?

Yes, this is why Steamwheedle Sniper is crappily worded, and this is also why this new card is just as crappily worded. Would it really have killed them to say "Your Steady Shot Hero Power...", "Your Steady Shot Power...", or even just "Your Steady Shot..."? Same with the new card and Fireblast.
Nah, it seems like each version adds +1. Its effect looked like spell damage, meaning your hero power can stack up, also be lowered to 1 mana, and be cast an unlimited amount of time per turn, provided you have mana. So you can potentially do 30 (or more depending on duplicate) with damage in one turn with your hero power, assuming a perfect board with Coldarra Dragon and Maiden of the Lake + 2 Fallen Heroes.
Uhhhhhhhhh, what? It's a fantastic card. Deals with aggro opponents very well. Turn 3 and coin out 2 damage hero power, or turn 4 play and the same. Late game draw making your hero power stronger and combining it with using your hero power multiple times.
People love this shit. Problem is if its coined out you cant drop anything down without it getting killed by the mage hero power AND taking 3 damage to the face. This can happen multiple turns unless you've got spot nukes. Great card for early pressure and free damage.
Also, drop it on T4 and you've got a minion + 2 damage, akin to Soulpriest...
