I'm trying to get excited for this card but...it's just not happening. For arena he's fine, but for constructed he has bad stats and the RNG pool is too big for the outcome of his Inspire ability. It may see fringe play but it wont be a staple.
Solid card, nothing out of the ordinary. Besides, you never want use your Hero Power for the sake of it. Your Hero power is there to either
a) smooth your mana curve out
b) to combo it with some other plays (shieldslam, Ping Devine Shield etc..)
c) do something, because you have nothing else to play
This card tells you: Use your hero power instead of using cards from your hand. The hero power usually is a tempoloss in many scenarios when you use it, instead of playing cards. This card needs 7 Mana to get at least a 1 time effect of. So its slow and i dont know if you can allow yourself to play that.
Blizz is triying to make the hero power more than a "use when u have spare mana or nothing else to play", to use it and the more u use it, the better rewards u will get ...
Mage uses his hero ability quite often, and if you have the lake lady which makes heropower cost one, think the inspire mechanic will "take off" :)
Just my two cents

It has been confirmed that this card has the chance to spawn Elite Tauren Champion spells. Does that also mean it can spawn spare parts? What about Ysera spells? What about the coin? Does it also have a chance to spawn the "max mana" zero cost draw a card Druid spell? Basically can it spawn non-collectible cards?

It says "Add a random spell to your hand". I would imagine it has the ability to add any spell card to your hand provided it is a spell.
I think it is pretty bad: just take the average place you will play this: seven mana for a 4/5 body a hero power and not even a real card draw as you will get garbage in many cases... now just compare this to azure drake which costs 2 mana less for a real card, spell damage and granted, a weaker body... but still 2 mana less!
And sure, it has benefits if it lives, but these cards very rarely live...
I predict no play in constructed! In Arena it is ok, nothing more...
You're forgetting hero power itself. Azure Drake doesn't give you a free hero power =p.
Also, this card can bait out a removal, potentially stopping your opponent from playing on curve. What is the turn 7 on-curve play? ...Dr. Boom. Azure Drake is not threaten enough to do that.
It's not as crazy as some people think it is, but it's at least on par with Azure Drake, which a good card being played in many constructed decks.
No I did not forget the hero power, read my comment again ;) and no, I think the card is bad in constructed, at least if there is not much more cards that mess around with the one-per-turn-limit ... And the "it has to be dealt with"-argument: Did Ghazrilla see play, or even Chromaggus ... for this to be true the benefits would have to be much, much more than "a random spell" ... heck, I even think if the card was "inspire: draw a card" it might not cut it!
I just read it again and still thinks you forgot the hero power because you're comparing a Saraad + hero power vs Azure Drake alone. Anyways, that's not important. The reason neither Gazhirilla nor Chrommagus is being played is different. They are too slow. At 7 and 8 mana, your opponent can sped 3-4 mana to remove it and play a midrange minion. This is more like Emperor, but has an inferior text. Think like this, you don't actually have to get a card from this. You can play this on turn 5 on an empty or advantageous board, your opponent have to either spend a 3-4 mana removal, which will likely to take his whole turn and give you the initiative and tempo, or let you get a random spell from it. I don't think this is a crazy card but the fact that it's 5 mana makes it pretty good in some constructed. Like someone said in above reply, it's the lowest mana "remove or lose" minion we have so far.
This is a 5 mana card with a big enough body that it can be difficult to remove on turn 5 unless you are badly behind on the board. Even if you don't get to use his ability, if your opponent is forced to use two things to remove him, you got value. A lot of decks can make room for a 5 drop that can force the use of a hex, a fireball or a polymorph.
I don't think dropping this guy on turn 5 is ever a bad play, unless your opponent went first and just played a 5 drop that can kill this and live.
This will be a very strong pick in a ramp Druid deck, when you can potentially get him out very early, when he is difficult to respond to, or else bring him out late, when he can be safe behind an ancient of war.
No... Nefarian actually gives you specific spells - spells from your opponent's class. Nexus-Champion Saraad gives you a random spell.
Yeah the card kind of says that. I meant the cards that Nexus-Champion Saraad has to choose from are class cards, like Nef.
He should instead read: Inspire: Add a random class spell to your hand. -or- Add a random spell from any class to your hand.
That would clear up all the confusion.
I'm not sure what the confusion IS... Apart from a couple of exceptions, ALL spells are class cards, so if a card read 'Put a random spell in your hand', I'd assume it meant a random spell, from the total list of collectible spells (The last part is perhaps not 100% obvious, but similar cards have worked that way before e.g. Sneed's Old Shredder can in fact only spawn collectible legendaries, and not token legendaries like Thaddius).
If what the card did was put a random spell from my deck into my hand, I'd expect wording such as 'Put a random spell from your deck into your hand', similar to Sense Demons.

While I do agree that 'random' can be seen as a bad thing, do recall that you get these for free.
The amount of play it gets depends on how the other classes will have their hero powers altered in this expansion.
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.

It gets more interesting for some classes now that their Hero Power can be upgraded.
Will be seen in "Inspire" decks for sure.
Not sure if hyped yet.

That fact seems to make this card far too random for serious play.
IDK there are a lot of spells that are going to be just useless.
It's lazy to come up with completely new character designs instead of using already existing art from the Warcraft TCG?
Can we just agree to call this card by this new name from now on?

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

Looks like a fun card.
Could be good in Mage with all the pings in the average matches. Could be really scary in Priest.
Does it add an extra copy of a spell in your deck or any class based spell? Roll those dice!

So any class based spell I guess. Sounds like Nefarian.
The curse of the unwanted sig space.
No... Nefarian actually gives you specific spells - spells from your opponent's class. Nexus-Champion Saraad gives you a random spell.

That seems a little redundant, aren't all neutral cards minions?
