the fact is that: nefarian could be a legendary from the classic set for example easily. so getting a card like this for free by getting the adventure is pretty sweet. if new players come to the game and just get BRM adventure they will get many powerful cards to get started
I'm 100% sure there will be one of his human form as a seperate legendary and boss encounter (to replace the Ragnaros legendary boss drop, which we have already).
The image of it showed up in the cinematic, and I bet he will have synergy with the Nefarius aspect card.
So I thought Druid would probably the worst card to play this card against, and with Druid you would have like 50% meh spells and of those maybe the the half is bad. But just like with Neptulon you don't really care too much about the card quality, since it's free cards. From the RNG standpoint I would consider it better then bling-tron, worse then neptulon. But a decent card.
I guess it will be useful in new heavy Rogue, maybe dragon-Rogue with 1-2 Gadgestans. I mean potential for card draw and even potential for +spell damage from typical Rogue's minions with returned Malygos.

Interesting card IMHO. He's essentially a 9 mana 8/8 who lets you draw 2 cards. Very similar to Ancient of Lore and Neptulon, and depending on the situation he can be better or worse than them.
PROS:
You can draw 2 cards for 1 mana (a standard 8/8 would cost 8 mana).
Just like Lay on Hands, you probably won't play the cards in the same turn.
RNG can give you shitty cards (Moonfire, anyone?).
Are you serious ? Like what? so lets compare this card to rag which is 8 mana. rag deals 8 dmg on play this card gives you 2 random spells which one off them most likely will be bad. How the dfuq is this card ever good?? The only deck you would play this is a deck were your already playing the following: ysera, alex, ragnaros,dr boom, sneeds + dragon synergy. When will you ever play a deck with both ysera and alex and still need another 9 mana dragon? There is no reason to play a 8/8 with no direct impact on board for 9 mana when you can play alex that has a game changing effect or ysera which basically never gets killed and is immune to bgh. This card is not something that can sometimes be good its just a trash card in general from basic value compared to the other cards. If this was a 5/10 or anything with 6- attack and 9+ health for 9 mana he would be really good but a 8/8 for 9 mana needs to be game changing in order to be played aka alextrasa effect.
People saying this card is good has no understanding of what a 9 mana minion should be. You are giving up an entire turn to play a 8/8 for 9 mana that gives you spells. If this card gets played its because all the other good drops from 7-9 is already in the deck. If the spells for every class was a bit better he would be kinda okay but as long as there are cards like moonfire he is completely useless because getting only 1 moonfire is negative value.
Terribly disappointed. I expected more from my favorite WoW boss
like what? making him OP? That's not how this game works though. The battlecry suits nefarian lore-wise and it's unique like how legenderies tend to be. Maybe lowering his mana cost by 1 or changing it to deck instead of class but legendaries should be unique and situational not OP if you're lucky to have it
Better than Nozdormu, and a nice way to get access to a legendary dragon for those who haven't crafted Alex/Ysera yet.
Except that Alex and Ysera bring you something more. Ysera means that time gets on your side unless your opponent removes it, while you still get at least some card adva, tage. Zaza may heal you while still giving a good body, a nice quality on a high drop.
Nef just says : 8/8 for, draw two subpar cards, and doesn't help you recover a game going south. He's a super gnomish engineer.
I think he's far too weak for constructed.
but alextrasa is terrible if you already have a lead. I've had plenty of games as control warrior where I had to decide between hitting myself for 15 and healing my opponent for 10, sometimes those are my only options besides pass and wait to draw into a minion.
As for ysera i don't own a copy myself but sometimes she doesn't give you enough where as nefarian can give some reach like holy fire + mind blast or lava burst + crackle.
I look forward to nefarian, not as a replacement to either but just as another strong 9 drop to compliment other 7+ attack minions, as well as giving draw power to some control decks that need it like rogue shaman and probably paladin.
Nefarian seems like an interesting Ysera variation, less card advantage considering Ysera draws cards over multiple turns and draws cards of higher quality on average - but that said Nefarian lets you do more than Ysera over the course of a single turn, 8 damage instead of 4, 2 Spells instead of 1 etc. so it seems like a more tempo oriented version.
Like if Ysera is too slow, this is a notch faster - which could make the difference.
I love it. This card is not fun, but strong in stats and effect. Topdecking this when both players are low on cards will be devastating. I really like this card.
and thus the counter for mechmage was realized. have a flamestrike and a blizzard.
How? You drop this card on turn 8 at earliest (coin). Meaning you won't be able to Flamestrike or Blizzard until turn 9 at the very earliest, and with great RNG. If you've made it to turn 9+ vs mech mage, you're in a good place already.

INB4 the Lord Victor Nefarius legendary card!!

You don't need to have Totemic Call in your deck for this card to steal it.
Not that good imo. Then again, one of the better 'ultra late game' dragons, so he can fulfill the "have a dragon in your hand"-role.
Yes at Rank 25
fail legendary nr 2 thanks blizz

Top 5 Legend every season. Twitch.tv/vbsof
I can already imagine the Trolden videos...
Could be good for rogues - Nefarian + prep on the same turn is alot of stuff
Putting this in my dragon-zoo deck.

Going into every Random deck.
Not sure if hyped yet.

Very slow card with alot RNG involved more than Ysera i must say and big BGH threat
