Rattlegore seems like a way to justify running big Warrior stuff I'd think.
IMO Troublemaker is a lot better reason to do so, but maybe you can fit Rattlegore in the same deck.
Well you definitely run both. With Rattlegore it's decent because of that one card that gives the minion you summon rush. While I agree Troublemaker is overall a lot better. (12 damage to retake the board from a dimensional ripper is good)
There are 9 Rattlegore cards: "Rattlegore 1" which is the original, when it dies it summons "Rattlegore 2" which is the 8/8 one. When the last one dies and you somehow play a Mass Resurrection, you can resurrect any three of the 9 different forms. So in other words, it wont care about buffs just about its original form. Just my opinion, but Im pretty sure thats how it gonna work.
I don't think they programmed 9 different Rattlegore. I think there's only a condition that takes Rattlegore original attack then makes it come back with -1/-1. Peogramming 9 Rattlegore would be stupid on their part

I think ultimately you run both, though.
Damn I forgot about about The Boom Reaver, that makes Rattlegore a lot better. I loved even recruit warrior back in the days, I hope we will have something similar in the new meta.

It would be stupid, but I honestly think this is how it works because the game has a spaghetti code.
Too bad the dual druid/hunter legendary doesn't fit at all in quest druid.
Its true but we will have a total of 4 druid/hunter and 4 druid/shaman cards in SA and Im pretty sure we will have some more choose one cards because these dual class cards are all about mixing class identities. So there is still hope for quest druid.

You could add Winged Guardians to buff and copy, but yes, it's not really fitting too well. I can't think of a Druid beast that is a Choose One card. Most of them just transform into beasts and wouldn't get the buff, like Druid of the Claw. For now, Wildclaw really seems like a Hunter legendary with a Druid keyword on it, since Beast Druid has always been a weak archetype, and not been supported for years. But maybe that is about to change. If the core of a Beast Druid build ever becomes solid enough, the quest might still be worth it just for Wildclaw and spell support.
Rattlegore is the strongest card revealed. If you don't have silence(owl) poly, hex, MC, etc you just lose the game. Its also insane in wild with N'zoth spawning more of those guys. Most classes have no answer to one Rattlegore, let alone several.
I like the N'Zoth idea but every class has an answer to Rattlegore: ignore it and go face.
Its gonna be good in control vs control but in other matchups its just a big sticky dude for 9 mana with no immediate effect.
You won't have a board as Razorgore will keep trading into yours. Any minion you play afterwards will just die. It's like a minion version of Gorehowl
There is a big difference: when you play Gorehowl you can immediately react to your opponents board. You cant do the same with Rattlegore. And Gorehowl is 2 mana cheaper and doesnt see play now. I wish for the return of control warrior, but even if it happens, Rattlegore will be a tech card against other greedy decks at best.
Thanks for this thread. I hate that they don't have the individual cards in the card discussion forum anymore. then more interesting cards naturally raise to the top, Having disccusion only on the news reveal really detracts from the natural flow of discussing an expansion. Horrible change in my opinion since the change in site ownership.

That's why you run the 1/1 rush card.
So if a card is not good enough in itself you combo it with another bad card to get a mediocre effect? Its a not a winning strategy in my experience.

7 times out of 10 it's a very good card. It is consistent enough to be played unless there are better 2 mana minions coming from this expansion

Poghy, great analysis and post. Thanks.
You missed the 1 mana 1/4 Priest minion that is not on the Blizzard's site.
Updated with 4 new cards. If someone has a link to the 1 mana priest minion's source, please share it.
Razorgore is the epitome of a "win-more" card. If you can afford to actually play it, you have already won.

Devolving Missiles seems to be good counter for Mage vs. Rez Priest, Druid and Paladin.
I am assuming that transform gets rid of all enchantments and does not trigger death rattles.

It will work exactly like Devolve, overwriting all buffs, deathrattles and other card effects (except for Dormant).

I don't think that's true with armor warrior now available. you need a way to finish.

No idea, it randomly appeared on Reddit. Not even on Blizzard's site.
