This is something that for sure will see play next year, but right now, we have the cutless for burgle decks...is this better than Cutlass? Both require significant build arounds, you're realistically not activating the quest before turn 6 even if you get good draws, if not you'll have to rely on the natural tempo of the deck and it remains to be seen if that's stronger than what we have now. Playable but much like most of the quests (and the Un'Goro Quests), the vast majority don't cut it or are niche at best. Not disappointing, though derivative and not terribly interesting or creative.
Quest dont need to play the generated card to be good instead of cutlass that's a huge difference and top rogue deck just need to change like 5 cards max to play this card that the point. And cutlass isnt a good card, fun but not good.
But with this you will open 4 slot in your deck. yes you cannot abuse this as much as cutlass but it will provide stability also don't forget that you will get two durability with only two mana.
Yeah, this should be ridiculously hard to complete in mirror matches and if there are any other rogue decks you're going to get crushed by losing a card. The only thing that could help with that is shadow steps w hench clan burglar or pilfer or spirit of the shark with hench clan burglar or violet haze.
This is a well balanced card in my personal opinion. If rogue will be one of the most used classes in the new meta this quest will be difficult to complete because only hench-clan in standard gives you cards of another class and not from your opponent's class (well stolen stell too but it's anti-synergic) . I think shaman quest it's the easiest to complete with almost every cheap murloc and all lakeys havin a battlecry and the reward is double battlecry that can make them a lot of damage only when played with for example lakey, lifedrinker and new wasp.
Pilfer has been changed, now it gives you a random card from another class.
Easy to complete, pretty decent reward, inconsistent. I think the main downside will end up being that you can't reliably the complete the quest in a reasonable amount of time unless you junk up your desk with pilfer and violet haze. You aren't playing control as rogue so if you don't complete the quest quick, you suffer tempo loss and likely lose the game. You have to consider that blizzard has had high legend players playtest this. Don't fall too hard for the bait.

I don't think rogue will suffer too much from passing round one and using 4 mana for completing the quest. It's a great tool to deal with aggro and it has great value since it basically means 2 mana deal 6 damage to anything
They aimed to buff thief rogue but will end up buffing tempo rogue. two pilfer and two fox will complete the quest.
This is what "bothers" me most about this quest. I love burgle rogue, but I don't think this quest will actually support burgle rogue. Play that new 2 Mana spell, fox and the pirate, and you're done. You can easily fit those tools into tempo rogue and this hero power will be huge for them.
im dreading it honestly free board clears with endless wep attacks with no regard to health ahhhhhhhh tho as a rogue player myself i cant say that i wont be crafting this after i've opened all my packs
Honestly that doesn't make sense at all to me because by only putting those cards in if you don't hit them then you've just lowered your card draw by 1 for basically no reason. I think of you play this to make up for the card draw loss you're playing the whole package
This card was made to have anti-synergy with Cutlass to act as balance. It seems like a fairly well designed card, should be much more fair than Odd Rogue & Caverns Quest Rogue.... but who knows, this is the Rogue class we are talking about.

Fair, but this assumes that you've drawn the cards you need to complete the quest early in the game. Over a period of time you'll draw them, certainly. The question is if you'll have drawn them all in the beginning of the game to deal with aggro. My thought is that the average point in which one would complete the quest is slightly too slow. For the record, I'm still rating this card as "Very good".

If you are building a midrange deck, you're probably going to have trouble with aggro no matter what. It's OK to accept that and build a deck that's good in all the other match-ups. There is no such thing as One Deck To Rule Them All.

I don't disagree with that. If you read above you'll see I was responding to the comment stating that the quest reward would be a great tool to deal with aggro. Edit: I see the card Clever Disguise was revealed. This changes what I had said earlier.

And for the best part, you don't need to play the cards to active the quest but need to raise Cutlass durability, sometimes you get horrible overcosted cards from other classes (or weapons you don't want to play to keep your buffed Cutlass).
Seems like the best quest to me easy to complete and great reward. I stopped playing cutlass and shortly after thief rogue because of all the weapon removal. Not really an issue now, And if you really need more heal, there are options enough.
Yes you lose tempo by playing quest, but you get it back so quickly with this.
Literally the current meta for rouge consist on not having a turn-1 play so this fits perfectly, and although you don’t have the early deadly 2/2 blade, a late game upgrade like the classic days but in a 2 mana immune split 6 damage form is a huge pay off (must have/insta craft)

You wont run cutlass in this deck because it will be a tempo deck where cutlass is played in a control shit troll deck.

Btw this is better than cutlass,
In order to benefit from cutlass you have to buff it to certain point so you end up adding two Deadly Poison Captain Greenskin one Spectral Cutlass and one Raiding Party to your deck.

War quest sucks just by the fact dr boom exist
I have to say i think Eye of the Obelisk is worse cause its more late game focused .

You need more good thief cards for this to be consistent though. The hero power is pretty good probably somewhere between malf and gul'dan.
