If zoo is a deck at the start of the expansion this card will definitely be in it , it’s cheaper than fungalmancer and is easy to activate with cards like grim rally
This is strictly worse Fungalmancer 1 mana cheeper but with deathrattle and hand instead board effect. If that would be battlecry than maby, but here you need to play 4 mana 2/2 and wait a turn unless you can instantly kill it (i'm looking at you Grim Rally). It might see play if zoo need some more agro tools
A card that is one mana cheaper than the card you’re comparing it to can never be “strictly worse”. Strictly worse implies every facet of the card is worse, which is obviously not true when this card is one mana cheaper than fungalmancer. Eager Underling is better for sacrificing than fungalmancer. It also has deathrattle synergy where as fungalmancer does not. It’s fine to say this card is worse, and I won’t disagree, but it’s not correct to call it “strictly worse”, and I wish people would stop incorrectly throwing around that term.
Only worthwhile if you actually have two friendly minions around to accept the boost. Fungalmancer may cost one mana more but you play him when you KNOW you will benefit from his Battlecry. Too easy to play around, and if you want to use his ability on your own turn then you have to combo with something else. Not even a demon. Very dustworthy.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
This card would actually be pretty strong in a Grim Rally Warlock build, actually stronger than Fungalmancer, but must be combo-killed the turn it's played.

Developed Hearthstone player, have played and beaten highly skilled opponents on numerous occasions. Not that ambitious on ladder. Only play off of win streaks. Love theory more than meta.

Hmm... maybe this + Carnivorous Cube in Wild? A turn 9 play, though... :P

How can so many people misread this card? It's clearly buffing the board and not your hand. Also this is not a battlecry, won't see play.
Free dust.
Audaces fortuna juvat.

People thought fungalmancer wouldn't see play either
And it didn't... until the nerfs to Bonemare, Corridor Creeper and Patches the Pirate came.

Thinking the same. Maybe there's a powerful Emperor Thaurissan play somewhere.
