9 mana split into 2 turns isn't gonna make a big difference if the turn after taking the overload you heal yourself up.

The best way to actually do something well is have no idea what you're doing. Then what you're doing will become what you have no idea you're doing, at which point since you're doing what you're doing without knowing what you're doing you're doing what you're doing without knowing you're doing it.
Idk why people are brining up shudderwock shaman, it won't play something like this. Mana efficiency is usually pretty important in that deck and it already has several overload cards with no benefit from overload. It gets no benefit/synergy from Keleseth, grumble, or shudderwock. It actually has anti synergy with them.
Electra + flood the board with toads, LUL.
Spreading plague so much better than this because it answers the board. This is a set 3 minions which isn't better when it counts (against a wide board)
I do like this for Electra. Do you have to pay the Overload twice, though? I don’t play overload a ton...

Yes, Electra doubles the overload. Not an amazing combo then.
Definitely worse than spreading plague unless there is some overload relief synergy this time around. Even seems mediocre in arena. Mossy Horror still a thing
So the douchebags on Team 5 have decided to switch their personal decks (for when they occasionally feel the urge to play a match or 2) from Druid to Shaman. Wow, cool, I guess.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
I don't think this is a bad card because it is lower value than Spreading Plague. The most play this will probably see in standard is when it is a discovery option or randomly generated by Hagatha.
Simply being able to upgrade the spellstone once with a powerful effect could bring viability to a slower combo Shaman, but it doesn't seem likely in this meta. I see this as team-5's attempt at a more balanced Plague effect that will probably dominate more when Spreading Plague rotates out in April.
It’s a spell, no shudderwock support, unless I’m missing something. It’s not a Battlecry
yes, it isn't a battlecry, but is a powerful control tool. and that fits in shudderwock decks. a "complete" phantom militia for 6 mana its really good against agro.
No it is not a powerful control tool. It is a weak control tool. You know one of those tools you do not wish to include into your deck but if you happen to get it from another card (like Hagatha) then you will be semi-happy instead of sad.
No decent player is gonna put this in a Shudderwock deck, 3 Overload is WAY too steep of a price... you're better off with Volcano and Lightning Storm to deal with aggro decks. For arena and Overload decks it's probably decent, maybe even good, but for Shudderwock, it's a horrible card.
Wait what do you guys think about Rain of Toads + Electra Stormsurge Combo. Its a nice board flood.
it's 15/27 in stats for 9 mana, but you'll be overloaded for 6 mana crystals as well. Seems alright. But will be weak to board clears and Mossy Horror. Depends on the matchup i guess. Good VS aggro, meh VS control.
Here's why this card is bad in comparison to Spirit Wolves.
Spirit Wolves: (3) mana, Overload (2) - Total cost (5) - Total stats (4/6) - Essentially (5) mana 4/6 on turn 3, leaving (2) mana next turn
Rain of Toads: (6) mana, Overload (3) - Total cost (9) - Total stats (6/12) - Essentially (9) mana 6/12 on turn 6, leaving (4) mana next turn
2 mana on turn 4 is fine; Hero Power is playable along with a plethora of high-tempo 2-drops.
4 mana on turn 7? That's how you lose games. This card will not see play for the same reason Earth Elemental doesn't see play; the high Overload cost puts the player at too much of a deficit.
To me, this seems better than Spirit Wolves.
Like, a lot better.

I think this is only god with spellstone not god for shudder

Spreading plague is broken
Bad spreading plague is bad.
this is adding a lot of value to hagatha
People will come to hate this card very soon.

We need a new card to reset your overload
Pretty sick card for tempo Shaman. At 6 mana you're starting to reach the top end of your curve, so the overload isn't too bad.

Your T9 - Electra Stormsurge + Rain of Toads
Their T9 - Mossy Horror
Oh well.
