Great job on these nerf ideas. If I were to grade them:
A- CTA, Dark Pact, Grumble, Divine Favor, Doomguard
B-Spiteful, UI
I personally don't think UI should be nerfed, but if it were to be nerfed the change you suggest here is best.
Spiteful nerf works well, but I also think a mana increase to 7 or 8 would also be a reasonable change that still lets the card cheat out a 10 drop, but with the drawback of more potential to draw the spells in your deck.
Everything in A completely addresses the problems with these cards and would be very healthy changes for the game, short term and long term.

Because this and all the 999 nerf posts before it boil down to "Help Blizzard, change these cards so I can win!" The game boils down to build decks that can win against other decks. Failure to accomplish that isnt the cards fault, but the players.
I can't speak for the numerous other nerf threads, but I don't really care about my win rate and I'm not crying to blizzard to come to my aid. My decks are doing fine and I'm having fun with the game right now. My objective with the nerfs I proposed is rather 1) change the power level of some overpowered cards and put them in line with what I believe the power curve of the game should be and 2) increase the diversity of play experiences for all players by reducing the prevelance of powerful decks that are over represented in the meta. The only exception to those goals was the change to Grumble/Shudderwock, which now that blizzard is addressing the animation speed isn't really a problem anymore.
If you disagree with either of my two objectives that's fine, I can respect opposing opinions. But don't assume my objectives selfishly revolve around an inability to win games.
Both objectives still point to and boil down to lowering cards to increase winning. Any time you are discussing changing power level of cards and decks you are also discussing winning/losing.
I mean I guess if you're being reductive that may be true, but I care much more about HOW games are won/lost rather than the act of winning or losing itself.
warlocks and palads still dominate the ladder . please nerf the FF :
carnivorous cube : deathrattle instead of the monster he ate that will be summoned , summon 2 slime token with the stats as same as the monster he ate. many will hate this but as a epic card I think this is the best balanced card.
Spiteful summoner : additional cost +1
Spellbreaker : most ppl use this one and it only cost 4 and body 4/3 , make it 6 cost 5/4 pr 4 cost 3/2 to balance with the owl . as owl cost 3 and body 2/1.
not sure about DK cards since they will be rotating out next year .
cards needs buffs :
cinderstorm : a rare card 3 cost 5 dmg split . make it at least 6 dmg split or 4 dmg split with echo.
Rat trap : mostly never played , make same with cat trick if enemy plays 2 cards , summon 4/2 beast.
