Good in quest mage and that's it. Card is bad by itself but might be a substitute for cabalist tome. The benefits are you save mana and clutter your hand less (in theory) and the downside is you don't get to control the spells.
Worth trying if you wana meme with quest mage. but quest mage is garbage.
This seems like it’s just a fun card that probably won’t be viable. Then again, everyone underestimated Yogg. This works best in a control deck so you can get most of your value out of the card, but I cannot imagine this making the cut for any competitive decks. Too random! If it let you discover the spell that’s cast but still had random targets, it may have gotten some play, but as is this is a bad card.
I get why people are upset at all the randomness but honestly this card is so slow and so bad that if you are constantly losing to this i think you need to stop blaming the game and look at your own play.

The problem with that is it shuffles them into your deck, and not your hand like Cabalist tome. So you dont know when you will get the spells. They automatically fire costing you 5 mana with random targets so you might cast something on yourself, like a pyroblast or Fireball or give your opponents minion blessing of kings. Way to unpredictable. What happens if your on your final iceblock, and the scroll id drawn on turn 9? Its GG because you only have 4 mana.

It doesn't cost you five mana. The spell gets cast for free, gets cast off it's own trigger and does NOT count towards the quest.

This card REALLY needed an interaction video.
The spell it casts is free, but the scroll costs 5 mana. The scroll itself wasnt in your deck before playing the first card, so it would help complete the quest because its a spell.

The INITIAL cast of this, Deck of Wonders will cost you five. Lets say on the next turn you draw a Scroll of Wonder. It will immediately cast a random spell with random targets. You will draw a card and Scroll of Wonder will then just go away. At no other point will you actually have to hard cast Scroll of Wonder unless you some how generate a copy of spell in your (or your opponents if they are also playing this card) deck.

Until we see it play, or a video/explanation from Blizzard, it has a 5 mana cost on it, so it could cost you 5 mana.
Funny card, terrible, but funny, I'm sure I will at some point lose to someone that gets lucky with this card.
I just have a slight question that is starting more and more to pop up in my head, which is:
Does Blizzard actually want us to play the game? Just asking, because they seem to more and more put on elements for the games to play themselves without the player having to even be present to play.
I mean it's fun and all, but at which point is it too much? Because I imagine a good portion of the community plays the game with the intention to be the ones playing themselves, not the game playing itself...
I guess it is about as good of a time as any for Blizzard to implement a deck testing mode where you can put the AI playing against itself with two decks you want them to play.
Hyperbole much? It's no where near as bad as they the game just playing on it's own. Granted there are a lot of RNG cards. Personally I am fine with them but I know a lot of people aren't and that is understandable. But a few, OBVIOUSLY for fun only cards is perfectly fine.

Okay. I suppose I am not Blizzard. I guess, ya know that effects that essentially do the same thing now don't force you to use mana, cards that essentially have the same effect and trigger already announced have been confirmed to not cost mana, all that evidence is prolly means absolutely nothing.

It is perfectly fine, but it is the direction the game is going when you look at the evolution of cards printed for the game. I've been around since the Beta, and this is very easy to notice for me. I'm not saying it is wrong, this is their game, I'm just wondering if this is how they want it to turn. I've stopped playing competitively a good time ago, so I will not be affected by this kind of stuff where it ruins most, which is competitive play.
For casual play, it can be fun.
I pretty much agree with you. I too have been around since beta and the increase in RNG has been pretty consistent. As far as how they want it to be? They fully embrace RNG and have said as much in the past. So, at least at the moment, it's here to stay and maybe even get worse.
I never played competitively myself. I honestly despise the competitive and hardcore ladder scene. For me TCGs have always been about creation and experimentation. Competitive hearthstone, and serious ladder players are often forced into a particular deck they have to use to efficiently ladder. And if they are one of those that march to the beat of their own drum then they are forced to see the same decks over and over and over and over again. Even though I enjoy watching tournaments and following the meta and ladder strats, I personally don't enjoy taking direct part. Hence why I am happy to see stuff like this. It's wacky and fun and allows for those friendly games to be pretty fun and unpredictable. Especially if you deck is specially trying to find way of generating more of the card and just casting it as many times as possible lol.
I will 100% put this in a deck if I open one of these cards. It probably won't be that good, but it should be hilarious, and in a control mage deck, might have surprisingly good results sometimes. Or maybe it will just pyroblast your face. Either way sounds fun.

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

woow I love this card! It looks so good to me :D!!!
I think the cost on the Scroll of Wonder are only there for cards like Spiteful Summoner and obciously they costs 0 when drawn.
If only this counted towards Quest or triggered effects on minions. It would be a good card, and a very cool design.
It's a shame that it's just unplayable otherwise :/
Well this works with Arcane Tyrant so you don't lose tempo but the fact that each spell is a mini Yogg both scares and intrigues me

This is the kind of RNG this game doesn't need. It is just plain retarded.
