Gonna give my opponent a copy of this with Cho, and hopefully he will cast it again while cho is alive, so we can both start a Yogg Saron clown fiesta like in the unerfed yogg time, xD
Jokes aside, this will cast random spell from any class by what i understand, not only mage spells, right ?
Didn't they nerfed Yogg just 1 year ago because it was meant to be fun, but turned out to be competitive level good? This is 5 spell pre-nerfed Yogg that costs 5 mana and can be discounted even further. Just fill your deck with burn and freeze - don't play secrets, cause you don't want secret from the scroll to whiff, revealing itself - add Aluneth, and smash everything in the face. Every now and then you will pyroblast yourself, yes, but most of the time target will be on the opponent size of the board as you don't have minions by turn 6 (maybe Bloodmage Thalnos, Arcane Artificer, Mana Wyrm, Sorcerer's Apprentice, that's it, but they don't survive until your turn anyway most of the time). And most of mage spells don't even target.
Voted 'Very good', sadly.
Edit: it's 'random spell', not 'random mage spell'. Well, this is much worse then (thanks Brode).
If this is the card that finally makes all the RNG haters give up and go home, I'm all for it.
If you dislike random effects, Hearthstone is not for you, and never was.
Completely disagree and tired of seeing apologist comments like this.
"Never was"
There are different types of RNG, some I don't believe myself or anyone else have that much of an issue with, some it makes the game unbearable.
Yes, RNG has always existed in Hearthstone, but it has been very different RNG. Firebat, S. Windrunner, Rag, MC Tech, Brawl, etc. Are all old cards that are RNG based, but you can strategically play and make decisions around these cards and I would argue, raise the skill ceiling of the game based upon your decisions from known RNG effects. All of these RNG effects can be manipulated to be used in your favor or at least minimize the intended effects of your opponents.
Then you have RNG that you simply can't play around: discovery mechanics, tri-class cards, random spell generators,, etc.
You basically either don't play around them with the possibility of getting absolutely punished and lose the game, or you try to play around an insane amount of different possible cards (and probably lose the game because of timidity.)
That latter RNG is not good for the game, and no, it hasn't always been apart of the game contrary to what a few have been spouting. If you can't see the difference in the RNG, I can't help you.
You can play around on board RNG effects to a skillful degree, you can't play around a 5 mana randomly generated Flame Strike.
Whats the answer? Just play the most degenerative aggro tempo decks the meta offers to counter unanswerable RNG created answers your opponent has.
Maybe a good arena card......will be used for fun, not bad to get off cabalist's tome or babbling book but few will outrightly include in constructed play. Could be good in quest mage decks but the number of times the random spell backfires will definitely define the card more than anything.
I'm pretty sure the scroll just auto-casts and doesn't count as a 'player cast' spell (just like Yogg). So why would you waste deck space for a 5 mana do nothing card? To help against fatigue? I don't get it.
Edit: Haha, won't even help against fatigue because it just draws an additional card anyway....

I like both kinds, thanks, but I certainly didn't ask for your help.
If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to play. As I said, what is "good for the game" is if this card makes people like you finally realize that Hearthstone is never, ever, ever going to be the game you say you want it to be. (Though I guess you don't mean it because here you are.)

My assumptions at this point is that it will NOT count towards things like Yogg or quest. The card is cast due to it's own trigger, meaning YOU the player aren't the source of the cast, the card itself is.
More over I would like to know if casts only mage spells or not.
The reveal notes say that it doesn't count toward quest or things like Yogg or Violet Teacher. It also says that it isn't only mage spells.
There is no indication if targets are random. If they are, then it's completely worthless. Otherwise it's just 99% worthless.
If this is the card that finally makes all the RNG haters give up and go home, I'm all for it.

Yeah,sounds great!
Oh quit it.
Apologist comments isn't the same thing as comments from people who just like the RNG. If you want to get more specific then that is fine. Like it isn't good for competition, at which point I would agree. This specific card though is likely not going to be good in competition anyway, but very fun to play around with. Even when I get beat by meme decks I enjoy it. You may not and you can state your opinion all you like, but trying to whip out some insinuated pejorative like apologist is ludicrous.
If you want to talk about cards that are random, that hurt COMPETITIVE game play there are better cards to target, like the new Lesser Ruby Spellstone. Potentially competitive and chalked full of gross RNG.

Quick math recap:
RNG times RNG = Deck of Wonders

Memes
The god, RNGesus, is smiling and laughing at his pitiful disciples.
SO you obviously can't have a board ever or you risk fireballing your own minions.
Another horrible epic. I expect to open 6.
Oh boy. Don't think this card is good, but more bad RNG mechanics in this expansion.

When life gives you lemons, trade'em for limes and get some Coronas!
This card looks just terrible.

Targets are choosen randomly right? Or it doesn't specify because you choose targets of the spells?
this might be better than people are expecting
RNGGGGGG!
