Yes, that's a coin now, but we have to see how all of these changes play together. 1 less mana makes curving out much clunkier, and double Innervate now is just 2 mana instead of 4 (Math!) - as obvious as it is, but imo the card serves the whole new purpose now - instead of fixing the curve and making powerplays it is now a more of a combo card which goes with Gadgetzan Auctioneer or other spell synergies, as well as it still gives some mana in return. I believe this is why they made this change instead of say '2 mana cost, gain 4'.
It is worse now, that's just a fact, and rogue has waaaay more uses for Coins, but this change, along with the others, will reshape the way you build your deck. And Jades, well, if they still maintain 55% w/r, then we either see more changes or wait for rotation. Team 5 just hopes that JD is slower now and players have more time to react and maybe play their Geist and stuff, if that will not be the case, then more intervention is needed
Let's see if I got this right: of all the druid archetypes, jade druid was the main culprit... and they make this change, which hurts the others (aggro, etc.) more than jade?
Innervate hurts UI very hard: UI can't be played 2 turns earlier and also drawing 5 without freeing card slots in hand (hello innervate/UI or UI/innervate + heropower/wrath) will make druid burn a lot of -key- cards.
Innervate needed a nerf, no matter what all the crying Druid players are whining about, and this one was ok. I think I would have preferred the "Refresh 2 Mana Crystals" but whatevs.
I wish they like gave some dust refunds and gave every player a new basic card called like jade coin or some shit and moved innervate as the first basic card to the hall of fame (unbiased wild player here hoho haha)
I was unhappy with the nerf, but I think the nerf will achieve what they expect from it. It will slow down the Druid decks, although I expect aggro decks to be more hurt than Jade. But I played yesterday a Little bit Jade Druid and the two mana innervate helped a lot. In all but one single game, I needed the 2 mana and a 1 mana innervate would not have allowed the plays I made. And some of them where decisive for the game.
But I still believe that ultimate infestation should have been nerfed (can't get rid of the feeling that they wanted to avoid the dust refund). But we will see, the past nerfs/HoF-shifts often achieved what they wanted. And maybe they made the right moves. In any case, we will adapt to the changes.
And at least I will not have a bad feeling any more, when I play innervate but only needed 1 mana Crystal, so there is an upside ;)
It still has spell synergy and provides a mana advantage (granted significantly less). I think this will still see play in certain decks, but this is a significant nerf.
Haha, hahaha, hahahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Did you just post this to post something?
Innervate will never be seen again in ANY deck. It doesnt matter how you look at it. Its a freaking coin! Druid is not Rogue, ok? Please try a Miracle Druid and tell me, why you didnt pick Rogue?
Seriously, this card will be as dead as Warsong Commander!

I think that if you would remove Ultimate Infestation from Jade Druid, People would include Gadgetzan Auctioneer again. And since you simply want to cycle through your deck, innervate would help with that.
I mean I agree that this is a severe nerf and innervate will unlikely see play in minion based Druid decks. But there are Druid decks who really want to cycle and include Cards mainly for that purpose. Like with rogue, I expect innervate to see play, as soon as Auctioneer is in the deck. Pre-KFT Jade did this with cheap spells and Malydruid was such a deck as well.
I don't think this is as bad as people are making it out to be. It hardly makes the card unplayable. If anything, the change to Fiery War Axe and Murloc Warleader might make those cards unplayable. Druid is still just fine with all of their other ramp, Jade Idols, big creatures, etc.
You never played a druid deck in your life did you?
Yep, just won six games in a row with my Druid deck. Thanks!
Blizzard's philosophy seems to be destroy and normalize class identity (unless, of course, its RNG funzies cards like priest) instead of addressing problematic cards in a meaningful way.
STILL TIER 1! These changes wont effect Jade Druid at all. They are still able to draw a ridiculous amount of cards with Nourish and Ultimate Infestation, and will never run out of cards due to Jade Idol. Without a nerf to Idol or Infestation this is still a very OP deck. This is like when everyone thought nerfing Small Time Buc was going to kill Pirate Warrior; speaking of. . .
Fiery War Axe= Lets kill a card that no one has a problem with because we are 6 MONTHS LATE nerfing Pirate Warrior.
Hex= Cool, fine, whatever, makes sense.
Murloc WL= OOOOOOkay? Because of all those murloc decks running rampant on the ladder? Oh my goodness, the forums must have been overloaded with people complaining about murloc paladin and quest shaman. GIVE ME A BREAK!
These changes really only effect aggro. That's great but Jade Druid is still a cancer.
This was the WORST CHANGE POSSIBLE. Not only does druid have many more problematic cards, the card didn't need to be turned absolutely unplayable(there were many possible nerfs). Also, now we have two Hearthstone cards that do the EXACT SAME THING(Counterfeit Coin and Innervate). If it wasn't enough, didn't Blizzard just say they didn't want to nerf basic cards, so that's why they created the Hall Of Fame?
This is oficially the worst change in the history of Hearthstone
BTW, there might be a druid card that clearly isn't balanced and can be easily nerfed without being turned unplayable, as it has many effects. Oh I forgot, this would mean 800 free dust for the players! We can't let that happen!

Paper is fine, nerf Rock. Sincerely, Scissors.

shd of made it cost 4 gain 6 mana

be kind and considerate

Just look at the facts :
- Innervate is now completely unplayable. No discussion here.
- Jade Druid still has broken cards.
- Every other Druid archetype is now dead.
Exactly like the Fiery War Axe nerf, they just completely destroyed any Druid archetype BUT the problematic one.
Good job Blizzard.
Counterfeit Coin.
But at least Druids can't double Innervate in the early game. That shit was thoroughly annoying.
I expect
Counterfeit CoinInnervate 2.0 to see very little play.Kaladin's RoS Set Review
Join me at Out of Cards!
useless druid nerfs, druid will continue domination. nerfs just slow jade druid a bit. just craft brainless druid and play jades

I would nerf it like "Your next minion cost (2) less"
No more infestation

This is a fundamental change to druid and pretty much kills it. It won't be able to keep up against any aggro decks now.
^
What aggro decks?
Time to send it to the pile of cards i will never use anymore
