I remember using Loatheb in handlock. It's such a great card, because it can be used both defensively and offensively. Defensively to prevent lethals and gain tempo on the board, while it could also seal the deal when you are in control of the board with huge giants and drakes and by playing Loatheb you prevent the opponent from using hard removal/aoe on them etc, it makes it really ankward or seals the game on the spot. This card is quite similar cause it serves the same purpose.
Looks like a Tech card to me . If Jade Druid,Miracle Rouge or Freeze mage are too popular that guy can be usefull(very nice vs Auctioneer) . But probably too specific and not hardcountering enough. (Like Secreteater or Weaponremovals)
No, this card will never see any play in a minion based deck. It's so horrible in that kind of deck it's more likely to appear in a spell heavy deck. If you're playing a minion heavy deck, you're trying to gain board control. If you're trying to gain the board control, you can't play a 6 mana 5/5 with potentially no effect.
Loatheb was good because it was in the worst case 5 mana 5/5, and also because it had its uses against pretty much any deck. Play this against a non-spell deck and it's shit. Play this against a spell heavy deck and it dies for 5 or 6 mana and eats a removal, accomplishing absolutely nothing.
Let's say you're running Hemet Jungle Hunter for some reason. Your opponent plays Nerubian Unraveler. You then drop Hemet. Will spells that previously cost 2 and 3 mana now remain in your deck, or does "costs (2) more" only apply to spells in hand?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.

Card cost is always adjusted as the card is placed in your hand. This is why Holy Wrath drawing Molten Giant deals 25 even if you have taken damage.
I actually really like it. What you do is use this to prevent an AOE: Mage's, Priest's, and Warrior's AOE all come at around the 5-6 mana range.
It's like an insurance policy for your board. Sure, you may wind up paying for something you don't get a ton of value on, but it prevents a catastrophic negative effect.

FreezeMage never dies, it just sleeps from time to time. Also, in game, I'm just DrPyro, just sayin'.
It's nice that they finally printed a card like this, but the cost and body to go with it don't justify the effect. Even if it were say a 5/7 it would still be too niche to use at 6 mana.
It's nice to see a card with this ability. Hopefully when blizzard sees nobody plays this card, the next time they release a card with this ability it will have a better body.
Even though its not great I'll incude in a terrible druid ramp deck just to piss off mages and jade druid, maybe that would be fun for a day.

Decent as threat in arena, way to unimpactful in constructed, but it might have some fringe use if spell-centric decks ever rise to popularity.
I actually changed my vote to playable because I really hate spells .
But this is so much worse than Loatheb I'm not sure...

Nice arena card! Can be used to prevent a board clear. Counters Mage pretty well.
A worse Loatheb. 6+ cost tech cards never see play, don't think this will either.
yeah this is low key awesome, punishes mages most but also punishes miracle rogues and priests, and curvadins.
If it sees play it will be a one of.
This is dust guys, you can't use such an expensive card as "tech" against mage, also what are you taking out of your deck to slot this in?
This seems like a more balanced Loatheb. I think this will find play somewhere. Maybe some kind of minion heavy mid-range deck.
Nice tech card for standard.

I just also realized a cool synergy. If you have Atiesh up from Medivh, you can drop Nerubian Unraveler and get extra value from your cheap spells.

Card is garbage. You are playing against aggro. How this card will help you?bad stats, no taunt. In aggrostone no place for this card
I am Priest-main. RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!
