This card will be way too slow and won't see any play.
You have to pay 2 mana just to discover the beast. Then you pay the full price of two beasts and they go into one body. So you're paying two mana extra and it's more susceptible to single target removal.
Dinomancy was too slow and clunky, and so will this. The normal Hunter hero power is far superior. I agree you can't judge a card without seeing the rest of the expansion and the new meta. It just seems that Brode doesn't understand that Hunter doesn't fit the control archetype.
I have a feeling this card will be mostly played for fun. If it will ever be competitive, it will be if it gets enough control hunter support...cause that's only place this goes to.
Control hunter CANT work, because we do not have enough heals! Cmon, Blizz!
If C'thun Rogue can work, any deck can work.
C'thun Rogue works for fun. It is a garbage deck.
It is a garbage deck because aggro decks everywhere, anything weak vs aggro is garbage, vs control and midrange the deck is very strong, if you have the time to play Blade Of C'Thun the game is yours.
A card like this might get me playing wild more. I loved Reno-Hunter as an off-meta deck, and this would fit well with it. Playing this late-game with Brann means you're getting a Flamestrike and armor instead of Consecrate and armor.
This card solves a lot of the problems Control hunter has: It's AoE, it heals and it even gives a Hero Power very similar to Warlock's, which means card draw. Obviously a big problem is not drawing it until very late into the game, but it's at least a step in the right direction, and a big one at that.

On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
How many times are people going to believe hunter will have a viable control deck? Seriously, every f****** time dude, learn from experience.
Is it possible for a hunter control deck to happen? Yes, yes it is. But in order for that to happen they'd have to push it so hard it'd hurt. Wanna know if it is likely for a hunter deck to happen? No. Not at all.
And f*** off with your "but muh pirate warrior", this argument has been made a million times and if you can't understand the difference between how hard it is to make a successful control deck vs. a successful aggro deck, you have no clue what you're talking about.
nobody expected taunt warrior to be a thing and look at it now. things can change with every expansion
Yeah, no one expected that Bill Clinton raped so many woman, but it happened. But you know what no one expects and is never going to happen? Bill Clinton to flap his arms and start to fly.
A hunter control deck is like a human flapping arms and flying. A warrior taunt deck is like something you wouldn't expect to happen, despite it being possible. That's the difference there.

We learned, but never before Blizzard release a powerful card for hunter control like this one.
Mass removal, armor and turn the useless hero power for control into another one giving you infinite value.
Alone this card don't make control hunter possible but you have to admit is a pretty good first step.
Lol, CLEARLY you didn't.
Never before have they given us this 3/5 that draws 2 cards for 5, they said on the last expansion. Never before have they given us X and Y that Z, they said on the previous expansion.
Now you see one card, a legendary at that, a 1-of in a 30 cards deck, and THIS TIME...! Are you a communist or something? It failed every single time it has been tried, but THIS TIME IT WILL WORK!1!
lulz
I don't think this card will be good enough by itself, but if the design team wants control hunter to happen, it'll happen. It's equally foolish to think control hunter will absolutely never happen as it is to think that every control card released for hunter will make control hunter happen.
And how foolish is it to make a point I have made myself, while censoring my comment to make it look like I didn't?

What i really like about the DK cards, is that they seem to require more consideration and thinking before being played. You have to calculate more, since all 4 effects ("losing starting hero power" being the 4th effect) cover different areas. There are situations, where you want to play it for the board clear mainly, but also have to calculate if keeping the starting hero power might help you ending the game earlier in this situation, and so on.. it's just way less onedimensional than many other cards. I hope there will be much more multiple choice/effect cards in the future. Not just for druid.
Thundra Rhino - yes. Highmane - no. The pool is limited to 5 mana cost or less, i.e. you don't get to chose from cards that cost more than 5 mana. Also there's no preference for class cards.
Well, I have never been a fan of Hunter class since all they do is rushing and go face. But if this card can actually give us the fabled control hunter. Please do! Yet it needs a lot of card support, as a stand alone card, can't change the hunter vision.

Bad card, way way way too slow.

So besides the 5 armor, does playing this card reset your health to 30 as well?

Oops...
Just a bad card for Hunter:
- Hunter is tempo
- Hunter don't need value
- Hunters don't play expensive cards (Call of the Wild, was a broken card)

Hunter will be OP OP, as it usually is. :)
I need to have one, it's because of achivement :P
