Just a quick question : is Chromaggus any playable nowadays ?
I used to play him in several Dragon decks and I really like it, but with Primordial Drake on the 8-mana spot and Ysera as the mandatory finisher, I can't find any room for the two-headed dragon.
Is there any Wild deck (obviously), not even competitive but half-decent that could use Chromaggus ?
I've messed around with Chromaggus in the past in Dragon Shaman. On turn 10 you can play Chromaggus and Ancestral Knowledge to duplicate two cards, which is often more than enough to out value another control deck. Of course with Emperor discounts you can also set up some cool combos with Far Sight too.
You can put him in most wild dragon decks or decks based on value, it won't necessarily make them better... but it won't make them horrible either by any means.
Obviously he is best in value decks of some type... priest, shaman, warrior, mage. Those decks aren't necessarily the most competitive, but they're not horrible or anything.
Basically, what the other said. I ran him in a weird Reno Rogue deck I once created but kept him in hand until I had enough discounts from Thaurissan to put both Chrom and a Shadowcaster into play. It's hard to let him live for one turn because you always have to hope that your opponent doesn't silence, steal or remove it.
Used Chromaggus in the past with druid and the results were not metabreaking but okay, and it was a lot of fun to play - especially worked excellent with Wild Growth if you do not draw both in the first 10 turns.
It is a very slow card, but it has pseudo-taunt, and aggrodecks with a slow start even had to deal with it (2 times swipe usually ruins aggrodecks).
I have had a lot of fun with the card, and the deck name was in fact “Chromaggus Druid”. So try it out!

Check out my fun and innovative decks here:
Beat your opponent to a pulp with Revenant Warrior or outlast them with Demon Reno Warlock.
He's a typical win-more card. Hard to find a spot for him as card has no immediate effect on the board.
Playing Hearthstone in German solely for Garrosh sounds. Sieg oder Tod!
