First and foremost, forgive my bad english, I'm not a native speaker.
But I was chating with my brother about the new cards and he notice that Lyra the Sunshard replaces your hand with spells that didn't start in your deck, what would be really great for Open the Waygate. So I notice that Pyros would be... good(?)... nice(??)... would make sense in a Awaken the Makers deck.
So, do you guys think that Blizz thought that it would be too redudant make every classe legendaries pushing the same archetype (like warlock did)? Or Blizz just messed it up a lil? I rly loved Lyra the Sunshard idea, it would be perfect in mage decks... well...
I do agree that they'd be perfect, but they'd be so perfect in each other's class that it'd be OP. I don't think Blizzard wants decks that required 2 Legendaries with crazy synergy, because then you'd have people complaining that the game's P2W. I think (and I think that you sorta realized this too) that their intent was to give each class 2 Legendaries that promote very different play styles so you have more deck diversity within each class so their identity doesn't become redundant and 1-dimensional.
Kabal Courier is going to be a flat out busted card with the average power level of discoveries skyrocketing in the next expansion. It's pretty much going to be an auto include I think.
Autoinclude is a bit to much, don't you think? It's very inconsistent... and with Brann Bronzebeard out we have even less chance to get the dream. BUT it's Trolden material for sure. Not as good as Coldarra Drake and Raza the Chained combo, but still very good.
I'd argue that Kabal Courier is to the kabal classes what raven idol or finder's keepers is to druid and shaman. I don't think saying it's an auto include is overestimating the card. Yes you get misses where you discover shatter, purify or sumsuch crap but that is seriously very, very narrow when you realize you're pulling from the class cards of three different classes to choose from.
Look at the potential card pool that comes with un'goro - even the cards we're already used to seeing like nether, firelands, etc are well worth the expense of playing a slightly overcosted 2/2 that can single handedly change your entire gameplan with what it discovers.
I agree: both legends seems to be perfect for the other class quest. Probably it was like that in origin but during internal playtest maybe it seems to overpowered or Team 5 didn't want to push both class on a unique archetype with both the quest and the class legend.
I don't really know, but it will be awsome if we could swap them!

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
If they put Pyros in Priest and Lyra in Mage, they would make the quests much easier than the other quests and would seem unfair to the other classes since their legendaries don't help them finish their quests (don't say Tyrantus does because you should be done before you draw him). Just be happy you can at least possibly discover them.

What do you guys think?
Lyra in mage would be the most broken deplorable scumbag card ever.

Poodris, they could have adjusted the mana cost to be compatible with mage... Archmage Antonidas is a really good card, but not broken...
Inb4 Lyra the Sunshard becomes the Coldarra Drake of Mages with Kabal Courier.

I guess you could use Kabal Courier for Mage to discover the Priest legendary and vice-versa.

rumor has it they gave mage pyros by accident it was meant for priest but they just went with it
Something strikes me odd about the 2 cards Pyros, and Lyra the Sunshard -
The 2 cards look like they should belong to the opposite class's set, because both synergize so well with the other class's quest.
I have a theory that both actually started out in the opposite class, but both were moved for balance reasons maybe?
I don't know, it just struck me as odd.
Tell me what you think (and if this topic was already created, I did not see it and I will delete this, sorry).

Pyros would have been an amazing 2-drop for Priest.
