It's not face, but it replaces Crackle alright as an early consistent removal. Remember all those times you rolled 3 when you just needed 4? I certainly do.
I'm just another one of those. You know, those who do things. Things that need to be done by those that do these things in order to do those things that don't do these things themselves. Has the word 'things' lost meaning to you already?
Stormcrack is worse than Lightning Bolt in most situations. 3 Mana for 4 damage and to minions only is paying 1 extra mana overall, 1 extra mana upfront for 1 more damage and reduced target selection. Very disappointing, even for control but decent tool for arena. It works with Flamecannon since 4 damage for 2 mana without the overload is great for tempo and it synergizes with mage for spells.
A side note, I imagine this was for any target at first but Blizzard scrambled to change it since people feared face shaman.
*Edit* When on low health and an empty board, against face decks or perhaps control burst, you cannot play Hallazeal the Ascended and Stormcrack face for the heal, you'd have to hit your own minion as a situational downside.
Man, I think the trauma of rolling low on Crackles actually make me want to run this card instead, haha. This card is in between Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst in terms of cost and damage. Too bad Lava Burst ruins the theme by being overload 2.

I didn't have a signature so Flux added one for me.
Who enjoys Burst Shaman? *raises hand*It's not face, but it replaces Crackle alright as an early consistent removal. Remember all those times you rolled 3 when you just needed 4? I certainly do.

[Game] Name another card that has the same...
WHA??? ME CANT GO FACE?!? ME STILL GO FACE!!!
Hm, definitely not as good as Crackle, but with that card rotating out, plus cards like Hallazeal the Ascended I think it'll be really strong.
Removal for Tempo Shaman :')

Pros over Lightning Bolt
-Deals 4 damage instead of 3
-Cons over Lightning Bolt
-Costs 3 Mana overall
-1 Extra initial cost
-Targets minions only

VS
I'm shocked.
A worse Crackle most of the time, but with all the new goodies Shaman are getting I think it's a perfectly fair trade-off
An rng-less Crackle to match our rng-less Fireguard Destroyer!
*drool*
It's in line with Shadow Bolt which is never played in constructed. Probably will be descent in arena.
"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."
Its likely going to be a 1 of in most decks, to take out problem minons before we take full control of the board
there is synergy with tunnel trogg and unbound elemental.
Only reason why this might be good.
There aren't currently in the meta alot of 4 health minions, that might change though.

Also a nice combo with Hallzeal to remove a minion and heal for 4. Not huge, but it is a bonus.
well, it's the Crackle we deserved, but not the one we need right now
This statement is false.
Consistent card if you want removal. not so much for aggro shaman, but it's an OK card.
I like the move away from RNG when comparing this to Crackle. Makes planning your turn a whole lot easier.
Way worse than Crackle. Might still be run in a midrange or control shaman deck but I wouldn't count on it.

Decent Arena pick but I would usually rather have Lightning Bolt in my deck. Just like you'd rather play Darkbomb than Shadow Bolt.
Granted 4 damage kills stuff like Flamewaker so it might be useful.
Its fangs are in your flesh before its hiss leaves your ears.
Golden Heroes: Druid -> Rogue -> Shaman -> Hunter -> Warlock
Good for control shaman but overall pretty underwhelming.
