You don't have to be a totem shaman to make this work. A midrange shaman with tuskarr totemic will get enough value. And I imagine with all the classic and basic set nerfs and with all the new cards seeming to be for a slow control style deck this card will probably see play in midrange or control shaman. At least in standard.
Oh wow this is strong. Shame they put this (and the other Shaman card revealed today) as rares rather than Arena, otherwise it would finally be a good class in Arena.
Rares are still seen more often than Epics. I think this and the other card can easily be the 2 best rare picks for Shaman (with the other one on top I believe just because it is more proactive on board/early tempo).
This card only needs to be discounted for (2) to have insane value. If totem Shaman doesn't become a thing with this powerhouse I'm not sure what would. But really, you only need 3-4 Totems in the deck to make this a fairly reliable 4/5-drop in conjunction with the Hero Power.
Knight of the Wild cries... I wonder how Blizzard could ever argue for that card now. 6/6 is nearly the same value as 5/5 with Taunt and this would be FAR easier to discount even if it counted only when you had it in your hand. Now if the Knight could get the same "this game" treatment, it could be enabled as well.

it will probably have higher chance of appearing thanks to the bonus for newest expansion, after that, it will be as common as lightning storm, which is not that common to draft, but I guess we got spoiled by murlock knight galore in arenas, still good arena card
So with belcher out of standard, would i play a 5/5 Taunt for 5? I would say yes. So this often is even better and asuming i play totemic + totemgolem in any shaman deck in standard. This card almost cant be passed by.
Also this is pretty nuts with the other 4 drop shaman got. trade with this than make this into a 7 drop. That scenario is not completely of the charts.
Shaman looks realy wel rounded for control/midrange until now. got 3 realy solid cards so far.

lightning storm is still probably better in arena than these two. but they're probably better than power mace so i could see them being 2nd and 3rd best.
In the right deck, this is a 5/5 taunt for 4, every time on turn 4. It is slightly worse than a straight 4 drop as (a) it might force you to make suboptimal play(s) on turn 2/3 to play this turn 4 and (b) you are never casting it on turn 3 with coin. I think those drawbacks outweigh the benefit of being able to cheat it out for free late game. A 5/5 taunt for 4 is amazing in any midrange deck. It even synergizes with the other ridiculous shaman card just spoiled, who can heal it up to a 7/7 (probably)
What means "summoned totems" ? Does it mean Tuskarr Totemic don't have synergy with this card?
All Totems that are summoned to the battlefield, Via Deathrattles, Tuskarr, Hero Power or playing a totem minion.
@Tate
Yeah, because 5/5 Taunt for 4 on T4 is bad? And the logic that if it's free in late game its bad as its just stats falls to its face because by saying that you shouldnt run early game minions on the offchance you draw them past turn 10.
But skipping your first 3 turns just to give your Sen'jin Shieldmasta +2 attack isn't very good. Regardless if you even wanted to say Tuskarr you should have said "Turn 3: Coin + Tuskarr Totemic or Hero Power."
-__-" It doesn't matter, coin is implicit in case you're overloaded or not, I was just being succinct. But what do you mean "skipping first 3 turns"?? It's not only Sen'jin Shieldmasta +2 attack, this curve is amazing and I didn't even mention Tunnel Trogg turn 1!!! This guy is amazing for his own, just compare it to Druid of the Claw = 5 mana 4/6 which is part of any druid deck, Thing from Below4 mana 5/5 and if you draw this guy on late game you may have a 5/5 taunt for free!

Druid of the Claw is a 4/6 taunt and doesn't require you to Hero Power 2 turns in a row in order to play it if you don't draw cards of a certain tribe.
Don't get me wrong, Thing from Below is an incredibly powerful card. Its just that if you spend turn 2 and 3 hero powering and doing nothing else you're going to lose regardless of your 5/5 Taunt so it doesn't make sense for you to mention hero power in your "ideal scenario". Handlock does the same thing but summons 4/10s and 8/8s.

Seems to be missing an Overload: (2)
We know Blizzard would never give Shaman good cards.
Nope.

All the shaman cards revealed so far can be consider Great or even near OP tier.
All come with good effect + Good old vanilla stats + synergy with class card and each other.
Surprise!
That's why I said "OR hero power" (Totem Golem - Hero Power - Thing from Below) (Hero Power - Tuskarr Totemic - Thing from Below)

A good card, might see constructed play in standard if mid-range shaman will be a thing.
