Now that i think of it its a really clever marketing move.
You get this God for free in your first pack. But he cannot be really used on its own. His strenght lies in several cards that are build arround him. These cards still need to be obtained trough the ocassional pack opening. So a new player that wants to play this legendary minion actually has to gather a lot more cards to make it effective.
On the other hand i think its nice to get 3 free packs again. Didnt see that comming to be perfectly honest.
Yes, of all TCG games out there, really not a lot of them gives you that much free stuff.
and if both u and ur opponent r playing it...or entomb and thoughtsteal, gang up and such, u buff it 4 ur opponent?
so a vs match is gonna be down to: whoever first plays it, wins:/ cuz both cthuns are probably gonna b 50/50 monsters (well not rly,u know what i mean)
plus i don't think i like the idea of buffing him over 15 rounds and finaly otk-ing my opponent.
It's called a legendary card but on release day it's the most common card of the new set. The legendary cards it shares synergies with will be what makes it a legend.
I'm wondering if C'thun might not be ok as a stand alone card. Sure, it's 10 mana, but, it's a 6/6 body with an immediate impact on the board. Resists BGH unlike Rags or Deathwing.
I'm sure all those synergy cards will be tempting, but, what 'bout just throwing a C'thun into a control warrior without any synergy? Or maybe extremely slight synergy, maybe 2 of the best of the rest of the synergy cards?

verdict: next old god pls:)
cards so far say: YOUR god
Correct. The "wherever it is" mechanic simply refers to if it's in your deck, your hand, or on the board. But it only affects "yours" not your opponent's C'Thun also... once it's been entombed, etc, then it's not 'yours' anymore. Thoughtsteal makes a copy, so that's obviously different too. As far as gang-up or shadowstep... now that could be crazy (albeit slow as hell)
Will work, but I don't think it's particularly fun, interesting or THAT good. It's basically some sort of neutral Anyfin Paladin, with stronger base minions, less need to draw all of them, but ultimately less OTK potential.
definitely not gonna be a deck archetype in arena :) it is a cool play style, to buff one minion, but as many ppl have already mentioned, your opponent can see it coming from early game, save up their removal (BGH looking at you xD) and also know how to play around it, before its on the board. The Battlecry is useful, but if your opponent plays conservative, this deck can be easily countered. But ofc, only 6 cards released, so basically cant call anything yet.
On a side note: need more Warlock discard benefit cards! :D
If it only where 8 or 9 value, this card maybe will make a new handlock warrior decks but with the current meta its more like a normals fun card than ranked but wel see.. depending if there going to be more than just 4 cards to buff it.
They said on stream that there will be 16 (maybe 12... I forget) cards that buff C'thun
This looks so OP.

I hope this doesnt become just another brainless card that you slam on the board to instawin, like: Anyfin Can Happen and Force of Nature + Savage Roar.
Seems like "buff it to the skies and never topdeck"

Hope Blizzard realizes that "wherever it is" STILL applies to a dead C'Thun -- because it can be resurrected by... well. Resurrect.
Nerf BGH!

As my name says im a old fan of Matchen and Lovecraft. For that, the first old god i see will be polymorfed on sight!
Jokes apart is for a dedicated deck final dmg monster. It does less dmg aganish a table full of minions. will see play in warlock specialited deck.
looks awesome
