I disagree, I've been playing Handlock which gives both of those decks a good run for their money, and also good matchups against the majority of other decks. It does however have a bad matchup against pirate warrior (another good deck against the rogue, but terrible against the warrior) and exodia mage (Antonidus, not giants).. I'm whilst rogue is very strong and likely requires some tuning, I am enjoying having all the decks i've tried be around T2.
Handlock is decent, getting The new 3 mana 4/8 cant attack, 4/5 cant attack or Twilight Drake taunted with defender of argus puts them all at 5 attack and require 2 of their minions to attack into them
If they arent using charge but instead flooding with violet teacher then felfire potion or shadowflame can clear
and if you can survive to it jaraxxus can act as a heal/extra big minions to taunt up..
I have taken many a rogue to fatigue using Handlock.. I am so glad its back.
They may not be useful individually but having something low cost that is generated from another card (not losing too much card advantage, 3 cards for 1) is great for combos and reviving the new rogue legendary... I will certainly be trying it out
Given I am losing some of my favourite decks in this rotation there isnt a chance in hell that I will be disenchanting my wild cards. Time to start playing both formats
I agree that there's a difference, but I'm not sure what your point is, and I have no idea what you think would happen in the OP's scenario.
Swamp King could trigger because Dirty Rat was, in fact, played. Dirty Rat's "summon" terminology doesn't matter at all because Swamp King's ability isn't a battlecry and doesn't care how Swamp King got on the board.
I have a feeling the rat would die.
I agree, the rat is mincemeat
Battlecries resolve before the minion is actually played. The best example is Sacred Trial and Dr. Boom, Where the boom bots have been summoned before Dr. Boom is "played" in which Dr. Boom is killed by the secret
Anything that does not have any other effect, will give an excess mana card
Wild Growth / Pilfered Power - The only thing they do is provide empty mana crystals, therefore they give excess mana to prevent the card being completely useless
Jade Blossom (summons a jade golem) / Nourish (Provides full mana crystals - only relevant with fandral) / Darnassus Aspirant (gives a 2/3 minion) - All have additional effects
Of course it can be an expansion, you cannot base your ideas around an unwritten rule. Hopefully hunters get cards that rework their class and push them in other directions as opposed to Blizzard printing these ridiculous cards and realising 5 months later there may actually be a problem.
There is no problem with the hunter. Hunter is now where it rightfully belongs after all the misery that class brought to HS in the past.
I wish face hunter would return, it wasnt until this meta that I realised it wasn't that bad..
It is fine to see Aggro domination once in a while, literally not every meta after every single new expansion / adventure.
Agreed, and Aggro generally should dominate the first few weeks whilst everyone is running unrefined decks.
Just recently I had an absolutely insane opener, ending with a 5/7, 2/2 and 3 lots of 3/3s on turn 2... they went face and killed me on turn 5..
On another note, if there is a counter to said deck (in case of aggro - reno), It should not be a common thing to have lost before said counter is even able to be played

Hobgoblin only affects minions from the hand, not summoned (from spells)

Look up Challengestone, its a tournament with wacky rules like that
0
It does not resurrect the target, the same as Unearthed Raptor
Nzoth only ressurects minions that have a deathrattle to start with

Because imagine a mage that can drop 2 giants and then still follow it up with a full 2x frostbolt, 2x ice lance, fireball

I haven't actually managed to pull this combo off yet... because I have killed my opponent on turn 7, 3 games in a row......

They are cheap effects that you dont have to draw in order to combo with or revive Sherazin, Seed

Based on past expansions, about 9h from now
