I'm a casual arena player and average 5-7 wins. Since Un'goro was released 9 was my best run and I've only ever gotten 12 wins once. So I have lots of room for improvement.
I currently am 11-0 with the attached deck and for the life of me I cannot figure it out, I feel likes its total RNG and getting opponents with shit draw mostly. Fel Orc Soulfiend is in the draft since I had such a bad epic choice, however, whenever it hits the board my opponent's trade up into it... its MVP'd 2!?
I know I am not a good arena player and I felt this draft was crap, but this run is just, WOW. Opponents have been: 4x mage 5 x paladin 1x shaman and 1x druid.
Deathwing is always a good card to know you have in your back pocket, and Leeroy is an insane finisher for Hunter class.
I've only gotten 12 wins in arena twice, both Unguro, both Hunter, both decks had Deathwing. Probably used him 25% of the time, sometimes had him in hand as backup when closing out the game.
I had COTW too.
I guess Hunter isn't "fun" and complicated, but it seems to be effective in Arena.
Hunter is top tier if you can get a reliable, speedy deck. With the stack of 1 & 2 drops you have you take the board fast and can finish pretty regularly with the likes of Leeroy Jenkins and Sabretooth Stalker. Most mage decks are heavy and their big removal just can't keep up with the swarm of small, inefficient targets. Rexxar can race so well right now.... if RNG is on your side, too, well that's just icing on the cake! GL going for 12!
I even had Vicious Fledgling in one of my two 12 win hunter decks and never really had to use him beyond a being a threat to remove...
That's so exciting! Your unexpected success (and crazily assembled deck) is one of the things that make us love Hearthstone so much. Good luck! Go get that 12!!
Your point about mage seems about right, 2 of the matches i had them below 10hp by turn 5 and they both just conceded.
I thought the 11th win was a loss against a pali ho had great early game and back 2 back Spikeridge Steed t6-7 but I worked through it with longbow and board trades, T9 he just conceded...

Im not sure if this post is sarcasm, but if not thanks for the support brother!
I had both of those in a recent Druid run that had ZERO card draw and ZERO card discovery, but a blessedly low curve. I thought the deck was crap and destined for 1-2 wins, but I played it super aggressive and somehow pulled 8 wins, with Leeroy giving exact lethal twice.

Final boss mage, double primordial glyph early game and lots of clear. had me to 3 hp and deathwing stole the show. 12-0!
Nice! Congrats!

Old school WoW Mage motto: if you don't end the run with the most damage dealt AND the most deaths, you're not trying hard enough.
Look at those rewards! Cmon Blizzard increase the rewards, they aren't satisfying at all. I'm losing all the will to play Arena again... and it's always been my favourite mode!

Shoot, reading that again, it did sound a bit sarcastic, my bad. I was being genuine though! I saw you hit the 12-0 mark! Congratulations!
It looks like a decent deck. But facing opponents with shit draws is very much a thing in hearthstone that leads to games that are much easier than they otherwise should be. I've faced more than my share of high win opponents that didn't play a single thing until turn 4.

PS: deathwing hasn't seen the board once.

Hunter can and does do well in Arena - you just have to be fairly aggro with it and play your outs:

So did you beat the final boss?
