Sigh. Guys, stop playing warlock. You're dumb. You suck at it. You don't understand how to play it and you just copied a bad deck from the front page of hearthpwn.
I played a dude who got syphon soul 5 times and used it 5 times on a 0/4. ?
I just played mill rogue, crushed warlock. The players are awful, all they do is focus on gifts, then they don't know what to get. They have no focus to their gameplay, all they want is to kill as many 0/4s as possible and then I dunno, try to zoo me down?
Well it's hard to zoo mill rogue down because the gifts give you 1 mana vanish and 3 mana twisting nethers. So every single time it just becomes a stalemate on the board but your deck just mills them while their deck does nothing. Woo.
By far the worst Brawl I've ever played, which is really disappointing after a pretty good streak of Brawls. Once one person gets a present, it's not worth playing anymore. 3 games now my opponent or I have conceded before turn 3.
I for one am greatful for the card back. I've been hoping for more holiday themed card backs ever since the headless horseman one from the first Halloween. The design is great and I will be using it every December from here on out the same way I use the Halloween card back every October
Having a lot of success with rogue, but a few other classes are really quite good too, namely mage with how many spells they have. Also if you're playing rogue and your opponent is getting a lot of your crates, they'll be dropping the 6/7 panda, instant combo for free.
Also the players who are silencing their own crates are absolutely dumb as fuck and ruining the game. Had a player Earth shock his own crate -- I ran my 2/4 and dagger into it and killed it, another one dropped. Are these people serious? Other players are using owls and the AoE silence minion too. Ugh
I'm really starting to wonder if this brawl is worse than the brawl that shouldn't be named. Been seeing a lot of the same strategy of denying and hogging crates where the person who gets the most crates eventually wins (or makes the opponent concede). Next to the lacking reward, this brawl is just a very big hit and miss.
I thought this brawl was mad fun, except for one thing... Discover. Every time we have a brawl where Discover is a mechanic, it is SOOOO SLOOOW. Everyone agonizes over their choices like it was the grand final of the world championships or something. Come on guys!! It's a Tavern Brawl!! Just have some fun!!!
But damn, I love feeling like a Grinch when I silence my own crate so my opponent can't get a present from it, lolololol
Wow some dude just tried to play face hunter against me lol. He has no faith in blizzard apparently, thinking that this week once against you can just go face and win. Not so much when I start with coin+doomsayer. Whooooops.
I haven't seen anyone else play doomsayer. Doomsayer is so awesome.
I don't have one, for example, had a single golden doomsayer 2 months into the game, of course it got disenchanted to craft commons. But I use Poison Seeds for about the same effect. Just you wait when they would start throwing Nerubian Eggs into your doomsayers and get more gifts.

i agree with , hate that moment
face priest and turn 1 silence own crate when i hit he heal it come on!
One major note on this brawl: Discover is limited to class cards of 5 mana and above, so the selection of those gifts is really limited. You can't get their 3-4 drops, so no receiving Consecration or Edwin VanCleef in those chests, instead you'll get Sprint or Solemn Vigil (got this one three times in a row together with Quartermaster and Bolvar Fordragon or Eadric the Pure facing a full board, got pwned in a bad manner with "Sorry" and Recycle after finally getting a Tirion Fordring). Also not every player seems to be able to play around their class's own threats like Cenarius with a swarm paladin, or Entomb or Holy Fire. Anyway, removals rule. No face hunters here!
Well I enjoyed this brawl immensely yesterday evening. I did lose a few, but I knew early if I had no chance (when one player can keep controlling the gifts, to always pop them on their turn, then it is pretty much over for the opponent).
I used a warrior deck (many enablers, Charge, Abusive Sergeant, and the like), many whirlwind effects and a low curve (a low curve makes sure you can always spend your gifts, even when they aren't 0 mana). Boardwipes are godly (Brawl with or without Sylvanas, Flamestrike, etc.) but I strongly discourage running Baron Rivendare because your opponent can abuse it far easier than you do.
The free card pack is a bummer, the christmas spirit would have been to reward the card pack as usual AND give the card back as gift, but we'll survive, no biggie.
Face hunter did the work for me. In turn 4, the opponent concede after I play my second mad scientist xD Now, is time to get fun with Warlock (or Priest maybe)
Well there you go, day 2, still well over 50% warlock and now people have figured out how to play it better.
Fun drained from brawl, congrats Hearthpwn and shitty hearthstone community lol.
Edit: This is why blizzard has to balance these. If they don't, they good for about 2-3 hours, half a day tops. Blizzard, your game is way too easy to max out in skill cap, so for the love of god, please do your job properly and balance it.
12-1 now this brawl.

Hardpacked Snowballs won me a match.
The reward was best part of this brawl. I don't really like it.

play rogue and get win

Honestly hate creating a new deck just to win one brawl game. Wish we could import an already-made deck.
no free pack????
blizzard=scamaz
Got Flamestrike 3 times in a row, fair and balanced brawl.

There is a lot of steak here...

Always rank 15-20.
Played mage, hunter, druid so far... tons of fun with each. My favorite brawl by far so far. Good job Blizzard!
