I don't like this brawl. Like... you don't have a good first or second turn? You lose. Well, unless you get offered Deathwing... oh wait, I couldn't play it for another seven turns anyway.
The outcome of the game has already been made clear by turn 3. Always. I've yet to see a game go differently from that. And this makes this brawl uninteresting for me. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the RNG factor in Hearthstone's brawls, but not like this.
After playing this a few times I've unfortunately decided this has been my least favorite Tavern Brawl. I'm not really salty, it's just pointless and non-fun to me. I'll probably end up giving it another go later in the week, but so far I really have not enjoyed this. Oh well.
best brawl.. no rng... just skill... those who complain .. no skill
Getting offered 3 random cards is "no rng"?
Pure skill... to find flamewakers as mage for example. Now let this brawl rest in peace and i hope we will never see again this rng shitstorm with confusing rules. It is actually worse than webspinner and banana brawls.
I really think this brawl sucks. The games last forever and it's basically whoever gets the most OP cards first wins. My experience: someone gets Enhance-o Mechano and gets to play it repeatedly so you can never have a board. Or the random Sylvanas Windrunner that they can keep drawing.
And then there are some classes that don't benefit from this brawl at all. Warlock can't even use hero power because they risk: (1) not getting anything beneficial because of the chickens or +1 attack/health and (2) you get 4 cards + discovery and there's no point to drawing anything unless you're desperate for something to keep you alive.
Granted, I loved the Webspinner brawl. I know a lot of people said it sucked, but I really enjoyed it. This one though... Blizzard really needed to put less junk in the initial deck. Maybe start with 3 coins and two random class-specific spells.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but is it better to not play the chickens so that they don't duplicate?
I think you're wrong (I could be wrong tho so...yeah). Let's say you have two chickens. You play one and a copy is sent to your deck. You decline to play the second and it is returned to your deck when you end your turn. Either way it is going back in the deck.
I did not like the brawl at first but I had the TB quest to burn. After a few matches I began to enjoy it. It can be a little slow and also kind of snowbally, but I found it fun. The discover mechanic forces you to make lemonade.
Played a long silly game (intentionally not killing each other) with my friend. Learned a couple things about the game engine (or possibly just this format-- it's hard to tell):
Not all cards you generate are added to your deck-- that, or my deck count was bugged. Eventually I had 6 Saraads on the board, but I was only adding 4 cards to my reported deck total each turn.
At one point I played a Healing Wave and my deck thought it contained no minions. Next Joust had the same result-- opponent's deck pulled out a minion with about 50 reported cards in his deck, while mine came up empty reporting around 75 total (though again I suspect that was bugged). So apparently Joust just breaks if your deck is too big. @_@
Eventually we were given a double loss with both players still healthy-- a couple of turns after the first screenshot below, right at the start of my turn. So either there's a time cap, a turn cap, or a deck contents cap. My deck was reporting around 100 cards when it popped, but I suspect it contained a lot more due to my Saraad spam. We'd been playing about an hour, and God only knows what turn it was. >_<
Then a bit later... boom. :/
So, a bit of a disappointing end (I was trying to build up to a full house of Saraads), but still... best brawl ever. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. XD
I'm leaning towards Mage being most powerful, due to flamewaker, and their generally superior removal. (in particular torch is incredibly OP)
Lol guy gets zombie chow turn 1, wild pyro turn 2.
Ok good work buddy.
Sometimes Hearthstone is retarded.

There are a lot of remedies we don't yet know a disease for.

I don't think I like it at all! Even the Webspinner is more exciting!
it's appealing but not really that fun...
