This brawl works great for some classes, but some really got the short end with this brawl. So far i's say this one is tied with the nefarian vs ragnaros brawl for me.
I have had the most success with paladin, and I have not had any success with shaman so far.
This last game against a druid was so typical of how I (frustratingly) lose the brawl.
Despite his massive amount of spells, I've finally put his health under 10 and threatened lethal with careful board control. But he just kept topdecking buffs/bursts and high-value minions (and I was clapping my hands the whole time when he was topdecking like a God, it's unbelievable).
Of the cards he has played, there are a total of 9 spells and 11 minions. Of the 9 spells, he had 1 Moonfire, 1 Claw, 1 Wrath, 3 Bites, 1 Soul of Forest, 1 Starfall, 1 Dark Wispers.
Of the 25 cards I drew (as a Warlock), I had exactly 2 spells and 23 minions.
This week's brawl's so one-sided, it's not even fun to win.
A follow-up.
Another Warlock vs Druid game: I have an Imp and a Jungle Panther still in stealth on the board, he has a VC Mercenary (7-6). My hand is so weak that I have to play an Anima Golem (8-8) thinking the only way I'd get rekt is that he has Starfall.
Well, FML.
I also recall one game where my opening hand has a Shade of Naxxramas vs a Paladin, and I quickly say to myself that he probably has equality in his opening hand as well.
I play paladin against mage, and won using cards between 1-3 mana.
I first play Armani on turn 2. Then played Avenge and heroed a recruit. As predicted, the mage pinged the recruit and I now have a 5/5. I then used a Cog Hammer and just kept going face. The opponent coined out a ping to break divine and then send in a Arcane Golem, leaving me with a 11/1. Next turn, I used divine protection and, put up redemption and summoned a Southsea Deckhand.Due to coghammer, it had charge. In the end, the mage conceded.
Welp, that's fun...

Does anyone else feel like Rogue is terrible at this mode?!
Yeah... my worst winrate is still held by rogue. I suppose rogue is innately far too combo-oriented class for this type of mode. But i've had fun games with it too, it's not much worse than the other classes. But it certainly feels a bit subpar...
Absolutely this. Definitely combo dependent, and random cards doesn't help with that. Many of my hands with Rogue are either dead or have no synergy with each other. Only reason I've been playing it is because I have a daily quest for the class and I don't have many rogue cards to make a good constructed deck.
I'm loving all of the "I can't netdeck to win, abloobloobloo" tears. Yeah, there's a strong element of chance, but it's definitely not a brainless slog, and I'd argue that a smart play involves a much higher amount of involvement and forethought in this kind of unpredictable environment than it does in normal play or most other brawls.

No one has any success with a shaman ever. Poor shamans.

I've had some pretty great windfury shenanigans. Definitely an inconsistent class but there are still some good opportunities.
To be fair, I did burst an opponent down for 30 to zero with some shaman bloodlust fun. To be more fair... my opponent could have easily done a better job of controlling my board. I was out of cards by turn 10 (Fel Reaver) and they seemed to feel like keeping their cards alive was more important than killing mine.
Really frustrating this week as I think this was the most RNG based brawl. I had some TERRIBLE starting hands and faced some amazing decks, so really it just came down to how good the card quality was.

While the lack of synergy can be annoying, it seems you get a much higher percentage of epic and rare cards than you typically get in the arena, and they can be fun to play around with. The big issue is getting all cards 4 mana or higher in your mulligan.

Successful rogue decks often require combos to be effective. Because you have no idea what is in your deck that you might draw, and often are lacking enough useful low cost minions or spells that you would have picked in a successful arena run, you are crippled.
It is difficult to know in this format if what your deck has in store for you requires you to play aggro, control or midrange. For me the play style required for each in rogue is much more widely different than for other classes like mage or paladin, which can more easily switch back and forth between agressiveness.
I agree with you that rogue is not strong in this rule set. But I like all classes in this mode, since I'm playing it for the entertainment, not the wins.

There's no 'seems' about it. In arena rarity determines your chance of seeing a card choice. Thus legendaries are VERY ..well rare.
There's no limitation here. In fact, IIRC there's always a minimum of 3 legendaries in the deck. Meanwhile all cards are equally viewable.
Really, this brawl is best for newer players. They get to finally play around with cards they don't normally have, in a format that doesn't punish them for plopping whatever legendaries they have in a deck.
Thinking the folks that dislike this brawl most are folks who already have the cards that you see here. I know despite the interesting games I played I played this brawl almost as little as brawl #1 and that was my least favorite. I rank it much higher but it feel like, how others have said, arena with higher rarities, which my legendary-filled self don't get awed over anymore.
Why is it whenever you back a Druid into a corner, they start to topdeck like a god? These are what he drew from what I could remember:
3 x Force of Nature, 1 Leeroy, 1 Onyxia, 1 Dark Wispers on 1 Mech-Bear-Cat who gave him a next-turn lethal and stopped mine with the freezing spare part.
I'm a relatively new player, playing about a month. The nice thing about this brawl is that you get to see how all these cards work (and don't work), so that when I actually can put these cards in a constructed deck, I won't have as steep a learning curve. Funniest one so far was a battle where the only card I could play rd2 was a Nat Pagle (what a lame-o legendary!). For some reason, my opponent felt compelled to hit it with a 1 damage murloc. Yea! Rampage old Nat and I now have a 3/6 on turn 3. I think he rage quit the next turn.... Also, I think the random selection seems to favor the lesser used cards, especially among the legendaries. I've seen Loremaster Cho so many time, as well as Nat, FL, all sorts of weird pirates and murlocs, and a bunch other cards that you would almost never see in any other format.

Win condition = Random

Let me guess....when you win, it's skill and when you lose, it's bad rng, yes?
Blizz and their love of randomness. They must be testing how much they can control game outcomes and have the players believe in "RNG"
But heck, I must be terrible. 3x Sacrificial Pact playing against a hunter with a near ladder face deck. Near, cause he had 4 Kill Commands.
Some skill there.

Btw mage seems to be the worst class for this. The legendaries suck <flame Leviathan> and Spellbender isn't worth a shit.

Leviathan isn't so bad here. Vanilla beefy creatures at a decent cost go a long way this week.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
This brawl was fun :D

Stop giving Druids 3+ force of nature....
