I've had only one game where both players had somewhat balanced RNG. My other games, the winner had RNGed into stealthed Vex Crow or something absurd, or drew their class's hard removal spells, and really all it takes is just one. It's really frustrating because I initially thought you could play it with strategy, but really it's RNG.
I got my one pack, but I think I'm done with this brawl.
Put in a Lightwell instead of Cyclopian Horror since I didn't have that one. His board was filled with Ancient Watchers and Eerie Statues, plus a Flame Waker with PW Glory on it. Won in fatigue. Thanks for the deck!
Absolutely horrible RNG brawl. Whoever gets turn 5 Rag pretty much wins, or the stronger early-cost-reduced legendary.
At least with an RNG brawl like the Unstable Portals, there are hundreds of minions to go through and there's an actual game to try to win sometimes. With this one, it's whoever gets the most powerful early legendary.
The reason the 8/8 version was scrapped was that it was incredibly easy to manage to get a OTK, but also because with Vanish, it would be impossible to win the game unless the opponent had enough indirect damage to kill you, and it would also make it impossible to give Rogue a healing spell in that case.
IMO, I think Nozdormu should have taken inspiration of the 5 mana 8/8 version and be something with the same effect.
That makes sense. What do you think of my version of Yogg? I made this a few weeks ago:
Overpowered. Just imagine as a mage, you'd have 1-cost 2x Fireball, 2x Ice Lance, 2x Frost Nova, etc etc. Way too strong. Same reason why they scrapped the 10/10 version with the same effect, if you read their line of reasoning.
I feel like Druids are the worst matchups against Shamans. They have so many taunts, especially if they run the C'Thun-specific taunts. Most are running the regular 5/10 Ancient of War, the 4/6 one that transforms, and adding the 5/7 Dark Arakkoa.
I have my own modified version of the deck, but I find it doesn't have much late-game. I usually run out of steam.
Not sure how everyone is getting first or second try. Been running it a few times with no luck. Not able to keep my Deathlord or Lightwell around long enough to buff it. Seems to be one of those 'perfect draw' decks.
It's possible to win without Doomsayer on turn 2 (which I only have one of). Had the 2 Explosive Sheep + Death's Bite instead to clear four of his minions with my health at 1. Used the two Kezans to get rid of the secrets and then slowly built up my armor. Won in fatigue with my last two cards being Doomsayer and Justicar.
Extremely well said. I also like Shaman as a class, but it just don't have enough 'oomph' to it to push it to higher competitive tiers.
As for the deck, it works well a good portion of the time, but big board clears can lose the game. You definitely have to know not to over-commit on the board.

Dropped a senjin and infested tauren, added Abomination. Easy win.

Took a few tries, but it worked. Subbed in Mukla's Champion to make use the summoned statues against him.

Didn't have Molten Giants so used Annoy-o-Tron and Kel'Thuzad instead.

+1. easy win. Silence turn 1, Shadow Word: Pain turn 2, Deathlord turn 3. Work him down.

It's confirmed. They stated so in the Wild/Standard announcement in February.

Nice! Recently got into Raptor Rogue so this new Rattle Rogue meta is a great fit.
