It just infuriates me that they pass up the chance to do good every time.
They'll constantly say "Oh we can't fix XYZ, we don't have the systems in place" but when we KNOW they have the systems in place, they still don't do anything.
I wonder if this would have worked better if they simply have each box give a gift to its owner rather than the player whose turn it is. Then the Warlock class cards [Hellfire, Fellfire potion, Power Overwhelming] aren't as unbalancing. It would skew the game more towards removal and taunt minions to protect "your" crate.
As it stands, it's a pretty much one-class brawl. There's some chance with Paladin buffing their own crates, but because the crate is created at the start of your turn it has to "sleep" for a round. Other classes are playable, but Warlock is far and away the optimal choice, so far as I can see.
Oh wow, look, now some priest. *Goes to front page of hearthpwn*
What a surprise, you guys have ruined this brawl already!
Stop frontpaging brawl decks, you're just destroying the entire fun of it. Blizzard is good enough at doing it already, they don't need any of your help.
Now it's just turned into burststone again lol. Do nothing, pass, pass, pass, burst for 25.
The lack of creativity among the hearthstone community is STAGGERING. I've played a lot of brawls and face Priests, Warlock, and Shaman .... I've seen one warrior and one paladin.
I know it's not everyone here. But y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. Really pathetic.
Playing hearthstone is depressing. Is this what public schools have gotten us?
The lack of creativity among the hearthstone community is STAGGERING.
I'd love to be creative but if I win 20% of games instead of 70% then it's not very fun. It's really blizzard's fault for screwing up nonstop, despite having good information.
Take this week's brawl for instance. They already know warlock and priest were the best decks from last time. Now there's new even better priest cards.
What do people do when they suck? They go straight to websites like this, copy the best deck and go play to win.
Blizzard makes it worst by pitting good players against each other in brawl, so now if you WANT to get creative, you also can't be good. Be design they will make you suffer through 10 boring unwinnable games until you maybe drop down to a lower level where you just smash a noob who can't even play properly anyway.
I made a topic about this on here and got warned by a moderator for trolling so that gives you an idea of the intellectual level of this site lol. A lot of people grasp zero concepts about the game and play strictly to win and just cannot understand why the entire game shouldn't be designed like ladder.
So yeah you get cool brawls like these where maybe you'd like to try different classes. Like wow maybe druid is good with naturalize + coldlight or something.
But newp you just get smashed by Priest who can discover Velens and chain mind blasts. 6 mana deal 20. Woooo.
So the result is you will just play the same 2 decks for the entire duration of the brawl after the first like hour where Hearthpwn hasn't put the decks on the frontpage yet. But after that it's just tryhard central, every week there's a constructed brawl, and Blizzard does not care. What they think Brawl is is just you play a game, get a pack, then go back to ladder.
Had to play Pally cards for a quest so I thought "why not Hand Buff Pally". Boy did that go wrong. The warrior I faced was also trying stuff with Yogg so the match was fun. Switched a couple of cards, including taking down all my late game (Tirion, Rag Light), the card draw (Acolyte, Roll Need) and put the switch attack/health dudes, Blessing of Might and Doomsayer. First match against a priest who couldn't just get any gifts (had god opener), and then played a standard pirate warrior (at least i believe that's what he was). Poor soul ignored my coin+Doomsayer turn 2 and gave me two gifts, only opened the first (Rag Lightlord), he forfeited lol. Final match against a Warlock: real fun match, he started getting the first few gifts but a Wild Pyro + Equality destroyed his big gifted dudes and allowed me to eventually take control of the match to win it. Overall, a fun way to complete the quest and hope I get more Pally related quests lol (just need to remember the boxes are sleeping the first turn and Blessing of Might is useless then).
What I have noticed is that compared to last time, people seem to be more butthurt and salty in general. Lots of BM emotes and roping. It's a great brawl, and you can win without big money.

We've got a ton of information on the brawl in our dedicated news post.
You can find community created decks on our deck listing.
So, warlockstone for this week.
Top deck is cheat
It's a cool brawl but like last time it'll quickly devolve into warlock mirror matches I imagine.
Even with the ability to ban cards and the insight of testing this brawl once before, they didn't do the changes needed u_u

is there no card pack as a reward this week?

If you have already obtained this brawl's card back from last time, you will earn a card pack instead.
seems if you already have the back, then you get a pack instead.
