Use your brain for two minutes. There are tons of commons and rares that are great for the Brawl. A Mage with cheap AOE spells, secrets, and Ethereal Arcanist is pretty awesome. Questing Adventurer in any class, Scavenging Hyena + Unleash the Hounds in Hunter, Shaman with Unbound Elemental and all its Totem buffs. Then of course Owls to take away enemy buffs.
The Brawl is really about buffs, card draw, and silence/AoE removal. Sure some people will be able to build quick win combo decks with legendaries, but not everybody has them, and they will not get drawn into every game.
I answered No, as it's hard for a Brawl to be "broken" beyond its definition; for some reason people expect balance when it's meant to be chaos. There are a ton of strong, playable buff cards that are of lower rarities, but it's also nice to be rewarded and get to combo some of the legendary cards that normally are very niche.
So you get rocked by a quick kill combo in brawl and make a salt thread? News flash, everyone is getting rocked by combos in the brawl as well as doing some rocking of their own.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
At least the games are short, past brawls were much more frustrating (like the one with the buffs for deathrattle, spells, battlecry or a 1/1 every turn). You can win in this brawl by getting a nut draw and you can also get alextrazad on turn one. To be honest this is one of the most fun brawls (even though the pirate brawl is my favourite so far).
Although I've one approx half the games where I got alexstrsaed the first turn.
Don't even understand the intention of this thread. It's a weekly brawl where blizzard and the players can experiment. Why do have to win this brawl every time? Why there are no possibilities to build a budget deck? The strength of cards is not always determined by it's rarity. Knife Juggler is Rare and probably better than some legendaries.
Was I being salty? Yes, quite a bit.
The main reason for this thread has been that it is possible that this brawl will see a repeat in the future at some point. For that case I would probably enjoy this brawl much more with my afore-mentioned changes to it.
EDIT: overall saltiness of my thread has been reduced
It's broken. Of COURSE it's broken. One could argue that any brawl that allows players to draw from their own card base is 'broken'. However, that's not a bad thing, my opinion. The laws of averages tells me that if I have a free to play deck and actually put cards in this brawl that have good synergy and have some decent battlecries/deathrattles/etc, then eventually I'll go against other players with free/cheap decks and have a solid chance at winning.
I don't think it's Blizzard's responsibility to make EVERY tavern brawl "easy" to get your free card pack. You have 5 days to play the brawl. You have multiple changes to earn that free card pack. I don't think we need to be entitled and demand that blizz just hands over freebies weekly.
I'm F2P and having fun in this brawl. Cards like Stormwind Champion, Frostwolf Warlord, Mukla's Champion and other are basic or common and are amazing this brawl. Yeah, turn two kill combo is annoying, but I haven't met too much of them and they don't pull off it every time.
