Hi guys! Just going to play some local tournament in Specialist format and I'm going to take control warrior. When I was playing ladder with this deck I had no problem with any aggro decks or mirrors. The only exception was Mech hunter, both slow and aggro versions are real pain for cw.
So I want to find some counter cards to make hunter matchup a bit better. I can substitute 4-5 cards, what can it be? I suppose 2x owls should be good, right? Also is replacing Dyn-o-matic to E.M.P. Operative a good idea?
By such changes we can also target Mech-paladin which is not so good match for CW too...
I defeated that deck once as control warrior, but I've removed the deck unfortunately. My suggestion would improve your early game a bit and sacrifice value cards such as Archivist and add some cards to remove early game threat like execute (Yes I actually add two of them and one Devastate, despite that's the reason why I won the game in controlling early game). But in that tournament mode, that seems a bit risky since you need to win against other matchups.
And I'm not really sure about going against mech hunter, I went mech hunter just to direct counter warrior. There is still a chance if you can build around the deck against Mech Hunter, execute seems to be much better than EMP Operative. Also, it will be hard to pull that off as I almost lost the game against Mech Hunter. Going against mech hunter, you're going to need a bit of tech and lots of luck if you want to win against your big enemy.
2x owl, 2x spellbreaker, there is not much warriors can do about deathrattle archetypes. I would not advice replacing Dynomatic by EMP operative. Even against mech decks, Dynomatic has good targets.

I like elementals and totems.

Archmage Vargoth is very strong in Control Warrior imo (Double Execute, Shield Block or Weapons Project).
Make sure you stay healthy early / mid game (armour is your friend) and make them overextend so you get value out of your Brawl
Mechanical Whelp and Unleash the Beast are the most dangerous cards. Try to save your removal for those cards.
Try silence and / or Big Game Hunter against the Mechanical Whelp.
Use your smaller / cheaper minions and / or weapons to trade vs. their smaller / cheaper minions.
You should be able to win the late game.
Thanks for the advices guys, I think I'll stick just with double owl option.
