I played a match with the New Jaraxxus after discovering him off of Finley's Hero Power. I played like you would Tirion, only with Demons, and did not lose a fight until the late game. Seems good.
Tribe-specific heroes are very inconsistent - you either find your specific tribe or you're playing without hero power.
Second issue is if some tribe is bad their hero power is usually not enough to make it work. But if tribe itself is good you're gonna have very hard time building it since other players will be buying "your" minions as well.
Tribe specific heroes actually got better because they only appear when your tribe appears. And Jaraxxus got a buff. Demons, as a tribe are kind of weak right now though. So better? Yes. Good? still not my first choice.
Seems viable in a no Murloc game. I'd be wary of using him otherwise, though... All it takes is one little poisonous Murloc to take down a monstrous Demon.
Jaraxxus is certainly better now, and can probably do reasonably well in most games, that is getting 4th place. It depends on what you want to call "good" though. My impression is that winning with him is rather unlikely. I'd say he's about average now, maybe slightly above.
He's not on the level of Tirion. Unlike Tirion, Jaraxxus doesn't get a natural synergy with Divine Shield cards like Righteous Protector, Selfless Hero and Bolvar, and Divine Shield is arguably the best keyword to turn pure stats into a winning strategy. But Demons are limited to relatively weak deathrattles and taunt when it comes to special abilities, except for Imp Mama. Soul Juggler itself is not a demon, and doesn't work too well with big stats, since you want your demons to die before Juggler attacks. Buffing Demons in addition to the hero power is limited to Crystalweaver and Nathrezim Overseer (which you might keep as a minion anyway), which is also not that crazy. I guess when you can get a big Battlemaster, Jaraxxus has a decent chance to win, depending on the lobby.
Unless we see a demon on 1 or 2, maybe 3, that scales well into the lategame, or some big lategame payoff for Demons, I think Jaraxxus is just alright, but nothing more.
Just had a rather low-stress 1st with Jaraxxus, 7k mmr, so not total noobs. OK, so I lost my last fight, since my opponent had dropped, but still.
Couldn't find Wrath Weaver despite staying on 1 for a while, and didn't find much in the way of high-end demons. Final board was rather mediocre: (buff slot), gold taunted Fiendish Servant, gold Vulgar Homunculus, taunted gold Nathrezim Overseer, gold Imprisoner, regular Voidlord, gold Soul Juggler. Battlemaster in hand, but I was still at 28 health, so it didn't seem worth playing.
Just a board of taunts with stats in the 20s to 30s, pretty much. Now I'll admit that was a weak 1st place, but the ease with which it came together, not losing too much health, and the trash minion quality suggest that Jaraxxus has some potential. Probably should be fairly easy to 4th place with.
I used to take him pre-nerf for fun quite a bit, it was surpising how often I would 4th+ with him anyway, you needed imp gang bosses though, like as soon as you hit three - you just never won a game becasue sooner or later the non-demon players start ramping faster. At 1 mana Jax is now top-tier, I have no doubt about that.
Yea he's good, that mana buff makes him WAY more playable than before. It being 2 mana was absolutely crazy, it fucked up your curves so badly that you almost always had to make a terrible choices that would come back to haunt you throughout the game. Right now I'd say he's decent, but not great because Demons are just not great. Wrathreaver and Floating IMO are the only thing holding it together. Their T6 is fucking WEAK, Imp Mama is likely to make.... maybe 2 random demons, maybe!? How is that in any way scaling compares to T6 murlocs, dragons, beast, etc. It should be replaced.
Also I feel fiendish servant should be replaced. Even as a 1 drop it's horrible.

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game

One thing about Jaraxxus is he's one of the workable TT1 strats. Probably an easy walk to top 4.
