That's kind of pointless. You might as well have 2x Goldrinn rather than Macaw + Goldrinn. Actually that would make Macaw pretty much the same as Shadowy Figure
Edit: This was a reply to the suggestion of making Macaw a battlecry
No there aren't if you have ever played you will know that almost all of the stats come from Goldrin and Baron. Houndmaster is only used for giving taunt, that Druid card is literally never played in beasts and non Goldrin buffs mostly come as +5/+5 from Mama bear.
You think? It means that the card can't simply be repurposed from earlygame to late - or even mid. That Macaw you used on a Spawn now can't go and copy a Goldrinn, or a midgame mechano-egg on your way up. That Macaw hit a non-golden goldrinn and now can't just copy the golden goldrinn battlecry. More importantly, it stops the deathrattle triggering multiple times per fight. Seems to address the complaints well enough.
If your Macaw is always a Goldrin or whatever you want, you can put other DR minions in your build and always have the Macaw being whatever you want.
Indeed you can - and that buffs the build that already wins when you have it. The tradeoff for the loss in flexibility - the early macaw carrying into the DR beast comp, the multiple triggers - more than outweighs the extra lategame power, IMO. Makes it harder to get the pieces that already win, but they are stronger when you have them all.

Yeah, for the beast build it'd be a second goldrinn/second golden goldrinn/better goldrinn if they're both golden. Just trying to find ways that the card is neither useless nor OP, and keep to the flavour of triggerring deathrattles of other cards. As macaw should be more common than goldrinn anyway, you're more likely to hit parrots than wolves when building it.

That would be the entire point.
Maybe for you but most people don't want to kill the card.
Changing that thing to Tier 4 would not make a change at all. Early, yes. But you can counter it early. This thing simply decides the endgame. You have it or you won't win probably.
Right now there is probably only the possibility to remove it completely or nerf it to death. Deathrattle builds before were already strong, they don't need it anyway. I think it has to be removed asap.
HSreplay data shows that overs 92% of the winners have the Macaw. Big Nope.
The Macaw triggered the bomb two times combined with the Rivendare. I won directly after that in the last round of the game. I. Won. With. One. Attack. On. The. Last. Round.
The Macaw has to be removed, Tier 4 would not have saved anything because I got them after I was Tier 4 anyway. Still another Faceroll round.

Then we need to remove Megasaur too because Murlocs are unbeatable late game.

It would change the # of Macaws available which is a huge change.
Macaw is badly designed - deathrattles can trigger once per minion for a reason.
You can counter play deathrattles to some extent by using small attack taunt to prevent enemy minion from suiciding into it to give your Zapp a chance to at least snipe the baron. But not macaw, enemy just needs to attack once which is uncounterable unless your red whelp snipes it pre-combat phase.
Only viable nerf would be to make macaw destroy friendly deathrattle minions in the process which also fits card art more.
I'm also all for removing brann & baron from the card pool, they're just the core of most unhealthy builds and tribes that don't rely on them are irrelevant in the late game.
Just give it taunt

It wouldn't kill it. It would nerf it. Which is the point of this thread.
All things being equal, it just needs to be a TT4 minion.
Yeah, it would be a nerf that will kill the card. There are better beasts on every tier than a 3/2 that does nothing.

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
If it were to be the way you suggest, it can only be used when protected by a divine shield.
George the fallen would suddenly become a lot better
