Okay i spent a lot of time hating on all things warrior, i tried bomb and control warrior and it just confirmed my existing thoughts on warrior as a class. However after finally trying pirate warrior after 3 years of hating on the deck i am having tons of fun. Its quick and effective. Fast games so you don't have to wait 20 minutes for ppl to take their turns. Its a very good time
Here is what I think of when someone talks about Pirate Warrior:
The deck was the terror of MSG. It was so unfair that Small-Time Buccaneer was nerfed about two months after release, the fastest nerf in the game's history up to that point. However, before the nerf, Pirate Warrior was still second behind Aggro Shaman. After the nerf, it had close to and above 20% playrate because Aggro Shaman was gone. It was also (likely) responsible for Golakka Crawler, Tar Creeper and Gluttonous Ooze (i.e. 3 tech cards) to appear one expansion later, and making at least Crawler and Creeper mandatory in most other decks for months to come. Finally, Pirate Warrior caused the Fiery War Axe nerf in KFT to make the deck disappear from Standard - a nerf so severe that the whole Warrior class disappeared from the game for almost an entire year.
And all that didn't change that Patches the Pirate had to get nerfed in the end regardless. And that card is still fairly popular in Wild.
Of course it's fun to play and win games in 5 turns. Just no fun for anybody else, and the collateral damage was huge.

The problem with Wild Pirate Warrior is if you get sick of it, the deck is the most boring, predictable deck in existence, with very few even close. It also feels bad to play against, which for me makes it the epitome of a scumbag deck. Moral of the story: wild is a scumbag format; bring broken stuff or stick to standard.

Wild is by far the more versatile format, enabling many many many more combos. I play wild exclusively at this point and this is the first time ive started using a ladder deck on it this month. You have a photo of brad pitt in fight club as ur icon im guessing whichever format youre playing is the scumbag one

I play almost exclusively Wild mostly because variety is the only really good thing left in the game. Maybe instead of guessing less, start thinking more. Then again, what did I expect from a pirate warrior.

Looks like you want attention, thats why you created this thread. Still to this day I hate pirate warrior. Truely the only singleplayer deck. Go face, ignore everything else.
I can only enjoy Wild with heavy aggro decks like Pirate warrior or Murloc Shaman. Anything slower than that feels horrible against Big priest/Kingsbane.
After all the nerfs and the wild powercreep pirate warrior is in a fair place and there's no reason to hate the deck.
I love how OP makes a post of positivity to share their new found favorite deck and everyone just shows up to shit on wild, complain and shame OP for enjoying things they don't
Can't we just be happy for people and move on? Go be salty in the salt thread or your 18th wild v standard thread
