So with the new expansion, there is a lot to try, and probably there are cards missing (and the the dust to craft them). During these times, what do you do with your extra cards - Those that do not get DEd when you click on the blue button?
For example, I have 2 copies on Thalnos, a golden and none golden and I keep them both, I just like Thalnos in golden too much, but I still want the option for a free legendary lol.
So for now, I'm voting "Nothing" ^^". It might change really soon though...
I don't dust golden legendaries from sets I'm still regularly opening packs from. Afterwards, if it's not useful in the least I might dust it. If I'm short on dust I might disenchant golden epics that I never use. But all in all, I like golden cards and often craft my favorite legendaries in gold.
I'm thinking the 'nothing' should've been 'Golden copies are my 'bank' I save for later.
Myself I don't even like hitting the blue button unless I absolutely need the dust. the dust I carry I tend to use pretty freely, but the second I have to kill a card, even a duplicate, I stop and think "do I really REALLY need this deck?" Over half the time I'll decide I don't and leave things as is.
To get to my golden copies, I have to get past that first check, dust the copies, then do ANOTHER check before I dust any goldens.
It took a LONG time for me to even go into my Wild collection and dust just the golden non-copies of cards I never use.
#$(*)#* I just realized I still have Majordomo. I HATE that card and don' t even consider using it for memes. It's literally the next non-golden legendary I plan to dust. I never even crafted the Rogue Quest and I STILL have Majordomo! WTF is wrong with me!
When I first got really into the game I had this idea of crafting all 'good' cards in gold. Spent a lot of money and I have a pretty sweet collection epsecially in Wild (Golden Haunted Creepers, Shielded Minibots, Muster, Piloted Shredders, Azure Drakes, Loatheb, Rag, Sylvannas, N'Zoth, Reno, Kazakus, Belchers, Emperor T, Dr Boom etc) but I don't want to keep spending so much on this game. The last golden card I crafted was Lich King when KoFT came out.
Do I keep gold cards now? Depends on the quality of the card. If it's a good card or one I like like Dragon Roar for example I will usually keep the golden version otherwise I DE it and use the dust for stuff I need.

Lol, I actually kind of get this. I have a LOT of duplicates in my wild collection, yet I can't being myself to DE any of it. Recently I got into wild as well, so I'm pretty happy with the fact that I kept 'em.

That is really cool man! All these cards are really pretty as golden ones. That golden Lich King must be real sexy.
I actually have a rule not to DE gold cards that generate gold cards (My first legendary ever: Golden Ysera <3).
I also forgot to mention the arena impact with not having the golden cards. As an arena player I should be ashamed.

Thanks man. I put a lot of effort into the collection and there really is some sweet stuff in there. I'm not sure if I play Wild because I enjoy it or because I want to show off my collection (at the lofy heights of rank 15). Probably a bit of both :)
Totally with you on gold versions of cards that generate other cards. They are my favourites. I opened a golden Dragon Roar a few days ago, so cool even if it may never really see play in a 'good' deck. Also got two gold Gliphs for the very same reason.
I usually sit on enough dust where I don't have to disenchant much, because I only craft the golden hero card of each set and maybe a legendary or two. As if I do, I keep the golden copies, except if it is a spell that can't generate a minion. Spells go by so fast that the gold doesn't lppl that good, while minions sit on the board with their goldness in full effect
I dust common legendary card always if I have a golden one too. So far I did this with Hobart Grapplehammer, Lyra the Sunshard. Probably will do the same with Hogger, but he is trash, I do not know what to do with him yet. Other golden cards I dust if I truly want to craft something.

To be honest, even golden spells have their uniqueness. I can tell for myself that if I see a golden spell being played, I hover the cursor on the history to look at the animation. But yeah, when the card stays on the board, it's really striking.
On the other hand, golden spells (or spells) are for your own treat, only you can see the cards in your hand before they are played :P

Lyra is SICK man, I want her golden version to. Must be really fun getting tons of shiny spells.

I disenchant the golden copy unless the card sees a lot of play in a deck I enjoy. I ain't gonna waste dust on a card I never play
I had gold and non gold Zerek so dusted the gold one for Princess Talanji. I also dusted golden Tinkmaster for Da Undertakah
I only dust my non- golden extras. All golden cards are keepers to me.
Depends on value and relating back to KingSevault if it's worth it to me, I will keep it!
I generally never DE cards unless there's a legendary I really want or epic I really need. I keep goldens until fun > aesthetic.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

Also, got a shiny Skycap'n Kragg so I'm quite happy with this keep, since I also got a goldne Captain Hooktusk

Lyra the Sunshard is so grossly incandescent. It's one of the legendaries I had to craft in gold.
