Edit: Bumping this thread as I see a lot of CW help threads on the first page.
I'm running Deathlords in CW again as some secredins aren't running silence ATM and it's the best answer for shielded minibot ATM.
A lot of people seem to be playing CW atm or have questions about it.
I just hit top 200 legend with my CW and thought I'd help anyone who had questions (Such as how to deal with X opener from another class or a screenshot of a situation you don't know the best play)
I think you should give some basic mulligan and basic theory behind CW instead of just the list and asking for upvotes, might make more people upvote it.

Ahh alrighty, I know what you mean, I tend to upvote decks that explain the deck. Why they chose cards x y z, mulligans, playstyle towards x class, etc. :p

Whats your honest opinion on Varian? like would you keep it in your deck or do you plan on replacing it for a different legendary or another card in general?

Even in a slow meta the card is way to slow. There's very few times when it's amazing, and when it is you woulda won without it. It's only good in the sense if it pulls out a belcher (Assuming your opponent has any board) and often it just sits in your hand as a 10 drop.
I'd replace it with any other legendary you want. Personally, I'd replace it with something like black knight, just something unexpected and fun.
Do you think its viable to play CW from rank 18 all the way to legend or should I start with something faster to begin with?
Something faster. CW from R18 would take an insane amount of hours. Personally, I played my take on a comboless-ramp druid from r10-r2 with only 4 losses. I played patron from 18-10 cuz I needed ez practice :P
Edit: Druid deck - Also to note I wouldn't play this past r5 unless you are playing a lot of hunters and secret paladins. I think I lost to 1 hunter and I didn't lose to any riddlers. The other 3 losses were to all patron.
What do you think about replacing shieldblock with bash?
Shieldblock is to cycle and enabling slam, but i think bash might be better, you remove a threat and get armor that might enable a slam in the same turn against low curve decks.

Opinions pls ^^
I like x1 bash x1 shield block.
Some people feel shield block is useless due to a lot of other armor gaining cards in the deck, but shield block+armor+SS is too good to many times. Also, kills shredder for free.
I tried out x2 slam over shield blocks and it seemed to work fine aswell, especially with divine shield running rampant, but yeah.

Thanks for the tip and deck :D
What are common mistakes people make as control warriors playing against face decks?

Quite literally just don't panic. Plan ahead and think of ALL the damaging cards they have. If they have a trap and you don't know if its bear, freezing, or explosive don't attack. Same with paladin, and, well, any aggro deck.
Also, try to remember you can't be too conservative with your removal
I have a neat idea which may be less time consuming than having to answer questions about a particular matchup repeatedly. Record games against popular aggro/midrange/control decks and describe your plays and why you did them, y'know?

In which matchups are Ysera better than Rag? With double brawl, I am usually not swarmes at turn 8 anyway, so I like Rag more.
Do you keep Acolyte of pain in your opening hand in any situations?
Do you often get run over with the wrong starting hand against strong openers like coin-wg-shade-perfect curve? Do you manage to stay calm in those losses?

Um. Any control matchups, and even aggro too lol. I personally don't think rag is that great in CW atm.
I keep it vs any aggro, clears 1 drops and becomes a target to clear
CW gets horrid starting hands often, just try not to get discouraged
agreed, but what can i substitute him for? i have varian, but like you said is pretty bad in the current meta. also why do you have him in this list than? lol, any thoughts? nvm, i read your list over again and you put sylvanas which is fine, obv works well with brawl. how bad of a replacement do you think chillmaw is? too situational? (chillmaw sucks w/o a dragon) and idk how i feel about ragnaros.
Asia server is just absolutely filled with hunters/secret pally/mech mage. i feel like i win most of my control matchups, and your pretty much on the bad side of a coin flip against the agro decks.... sigh~
Almost same list as mine :P mine is -1 shieldblock -1 shieldmaiden +2 senjin (good early/mid and value from varian)
cheers!
I'll try that out, sounds good. Biggest issue with the deck ATM is to much lategame curve considering how much "smoother" current aggressive decks are. It's probably better honestly
Im running a similiar list, -varian - brawl -2 shield block, + sylvanas + ragnaros + 2 bash.
Considering cutting rag for a second brawl. But the bashes work really well cause you often times get the reach to kill stuff with your weapons. Like a druid of the claw. T2 axe, t3 bash axe = dead bear. You dont have to rely on your shield slams to get stuff from the Board. Also great against aggro and shredders

Varian shines against other control decks (especially other cw) but imo is def. not my win condition in like 90% of games.
If you get unlucky you play right into a brawl. It's a win-more card, it's honestly pbad in the current meta.
