Thanks for deck! I wasn't playing hunter, but needed to for a daily quest and have been playing this since. It's a fun deck to play even if you lose, and was a good break from the other classes I was playing.
It's a great deck I enjoy playing it alot. I am currently floating between rank 3 and the very late stages of rank 4, still only playing this deck in ranked.. But since reset is coming I haven't tried pushing for legendary I feel its a waste of time.
Just for shits 'n giggles I tried making a Control Hunter deck as similar to my druid as possible. This is what I ended up with and it actually performs quite well at rank 5. It also stops rushers very nicely with the combination of earlyish minions, Explosive Trap and Deadly Shot.

This doesn't look bad at all I really like the Baron Geddon in this deck. I've been wanting to add him into my deck myself he's a perfect fit he's immune to the annoying BGH from druids and paladins and is amazing board clear combo'ed with explosive shot/trap. I also like the draw engine of Nat Pagle I just couldn't fit him into my deck. Have you thought about Doomsayer in replacement of Misdirection for early game threats? I swap between those 2 myself. Also how much use are you getting out of longbow? Your deck is pretty top heavy and you run 6 traps so have you thought about eaglehorn bow or possibly 2 of them and swap whatever legendary is used the least?

I actually haven't draw the Gladiator's Longbow yet I just wanted to use it as a late removal card. As for Doomsayer, it might work as well I would have to try. I mainly use Misdirection to bait them into thinking it's an Explosive Trap. I only have 4 secrets btw, it would be 2 if I put in Doomsayer in place of Misdirection.
I'm really trying to run a controlled deck, my goal is not to rush the enemy down with charge minions and hero power/weapons. I want to control the field and use my hero power when I have extra mana, King Krush is a finisher.
I think leeroy is a much better finisher but that's just me. for 6 mana he can be comboed with other stuff.
leeroy now is 4 mana cost *-*
Sorry what I meant to say was Leeroy + hero power is the same thing as Krush (for 6 mana) and that can be combined with other stuff. Leeroy + Hero + Bow = 11 damage finisher for 9 mana. Leeroy + Hero + Arcane Golem = 12 damage finisher 9 mana, etc.

I've been playing control hunter for about 2 weeks now. I started with my own deck which was okay then took in other people's ideas here and there and this is what I have right now. Baron was a sweet idea, I didn't even own it at the time.. been playing with him all day and I think I like the card a lot.
It's hardly an original deck, my original control hunter version was much different. I've more or less just taken ideas I've found interesting within the playstyle and mixed and mashed it all together. I've never ever been a fan of misdirection I just don't like the card. I ended up getting rid of Tracking all together, put in a Nat in one of its place for more draw.
Nice looking deck, it's a bit on the legendary heavy side for any average player to build. I already am trying to find replacements for the legendaries I have in my deck for the average player. I have all of those except for nat and baron I plan to pick both of them up soon actually so I may try your variant. Good job.
How long have you been running this deck? The reason I ask is because I have been seeing a very similar deck for weeks from streamers and is in fact very similar to a deck I built a couple weeks ago with inspiration from several streamers. The one striking similarity between these decks and yours is the 1 deadly shot. Often times you see 2 or none so 1 catches your eye.
1 card for you to consider I think is Arcane Golem. It combos very nicely with Leeroy among other cards. Can give you that final burst you need.
Sounds good let me know how your deck works out. Also with the upcoming patch I've also thought about swapping to buzzards/snake trap or hounds too since novice and hoarder already have little lasting power on the board you'll have more options with 3 rather than 1 1hp minion.
I've also been thinking of adding King Mukla or Baron Geddon into my deck. But I have to craft one or the other so my decision is very tough. Its hard to decide which one to choose Geddon is great late game but if I'm low health he's very destructive.

Edit: Instead of Gladiator's Longbow or a second Deadly Shot, I ended up adding Sylvanas Windrunner and that's been working out pretty well.

For example a shaman played Faerie Dragon, I put up Misdirection and he attacked. After that he played another Faerie Dragon thinking he was safe, then I played Explosive Trap lol.

Hey Chug! This looks like a really fun deck but I don't have all the cards. What would you swap for Doomsayer (I don't have any, sadly),The Black Knight, and Tinkmaster Overspark?

But then you don't get the epic animation.
true I didn't even consider that.

I put my hunter away until the UTH change. Gunna try to do a more mid range UTH deck.
