Literally 2 different cards. Everyone is saying that druid has so many viable archetypes, which is does, but taunt and big druid are literally the same deck. Someone tell me why they’re called different names, as the same archetype can sometimes have 5 different cards than a different deck of the same archetype, let alone 2.
I think its a legacy thing. Back in big druid's debut It wasn't so heavily taunt focused as to call the deck Taunt druid. As well as the fact that there weren't any significant taunt synergies like Hadronox. But now that there are, people generally call the deck taunt druid as opposed to big. But yes they basically are the same archetype with the same goal of survive and play huge things that your opponent cant deal with.
Well that's druid for you. Druid in 2018 has pretty much been UI, Branching, Nourish, Spellstone, Naturalise, Swipe, Plague, Malfurion and Wild Growth, then tack on a few different cards and Bam, new archetype.
They are very different decks. Big runs Malf, doesn't run witching hour or cubes, has more ramp and mana cheating and prefers cards like floop and ysera. Their similarities are part of the problem the druid class if facing right now. Too many cards are shared between all druid archetypes that they look almost indistinguishable at first glance.
If you really can't see the difference between a taunt druid and a big druid you shouldn't play this game
I literally linked two decks on the post, one for big and one for taunt, and they are almost identical. If you really can’t help yourself from being an asshole, you shouldn’t come on these forums
I don't know what "metabomb.net" is but now I know never to consult it because they clearly have no idea what they're talking about. Either that or they are poorly trying to communicate that taunt druids suck right now and to play big druid instead. Even if that's the case, statistics put taunt druid only 1% behind big druid in ladder winrate so they'd be wrong

Why does Vicious Fledgling exist
Taunt druid runs witching hour and cube and builds big boards of taunts and less "big" minions.

You see no difference because the "taunt druid" list you linked is actually a big druid. It contains many cards that are exclusive to big druid (Ysera, Biology Project, Greedy Sprite, Drakkari Enchanter), as well as lacking many cards that are defining of a true taunt druid (Witching Hour, Carnivorous Cube)

The variation in cards does change the strategy regardless of their similarities.
