I typically don't want to make a judgement call before we actually play an expansion, but......
Yeah, those are some damn good cards. That new Coilfang Warlord is one of the most over top rare cards I've seen in a long time. It's better than a lot of legendaries.
Way more people would complain if the DH didn't make a splash, after all that development time. Blizzard is also way more receptive to nerving problematic cards now, so I have some faith in this new class release.
Looks like DH's big weakness will be other aggro decks. Those cards average pretty expensive, and Demon Hunters removal tools are attacks which damage it's own face.
But it's obviously too early to say for sure. We'll find out soon enough
1 mana hero power kill a 1/1 opponent minion, after that you play a 2 manas 4/2 rush minion? Of course is broken, only rogue with GODLY starting hand can handle early tempo like that and this new class do with a single card.
Blizzard will release a nerf patch 2 weeks after release.
As usual, Blizzard buffs their new heroes as hell so that game gets attention.
eg. death knights at world of warcraft, moira, brigitte at overwatch
I don't think thats intentional, just look at Sombra, Hammond and Ashe. It's just very hard to test and balance new things for milliones of players with just a 50-100 testers
It looks broken. All the early stuff is busted and recently they've shown a lot of powerful top end too. The only bright side is that Blizzard said in an interview that they would be very quick and responsive with changing it if they need to, and I'm pretty certain they'll need to.
Honestly I'm glad it's looking to be more of a midrange deck. At least those have more interactive and fun games. But it's clearly being designed with a generalist mind set. Some strong late game cards, some strong early game cards, some anti aggro, some anti stall.
These DH indeed strong, but doesnt give any value. hardcore control deck with lots of removals can outlast the slow DH deck, while aggro deck can hopefully kill the deck fast enough. If the DH have godly draw maybe the match will over quick but I do not think they dont have clear weakness

One thing I've not seen though. I thought there was going to be DH cards that go into the evergreen set. Anyone know which ones they are?
At the end of the year, they're going to take some of the cards they printed and make them into the demon hunter classic set.

There's going to be the demon hunter initiate stuff, which is the basic set. At the end of the year, they're going to take some of the cards they printed and make them into the demon hunter classic set.
Thanks man. I had just managed to refind it as you replied. 17 revealed so far, so who knows what the legendary will be yet.
This will be like pre-nerf Galakrond Shaman. Ladder will be 50% DH.
MAYBE a class with massive healing has a shot against this. Then again, some of these cards are so insane if you can't remove them you just lose on the spot.

forgot the balance
With Leeroy out I don't worry for aggro decks.
DH will be able to make all kind of decks though. All of them will be strong. This class has cards to do everything

It's early to judge yet.
Even it is so, they are nerfing withing two weeks now.

Where are all these hardcore control decks you talk about? Good AoE's rotate out now, where are the new ones?
Class is insanely OP.
