I was wondering if there have been people properly testing the card yet. It seems as every bit as underwhelming as people called it but for it's design I really love it. I just don't know in what kind of deck it can even function.
Thijs played a Gunspire-Control/Recruit Deck "Turret Warrior" yesterday on stream with good success (11-4 on legend rank). I tried it at rank 4 with little to no success, due to the face-pressure decks (paladin, secret mage, etc.). Can't set up combo, if you die in turn 6.
I like to play a Rush-Warrior variant with gunspire, which works better for me, since aggro is more manageable. Here is the list:
If you watched the Thijs stream you should know, that Thijs got really mad due to loosing twice because of Gunspire being a dead draw and then decided to take it out of the deck because "this stupid card is useless"

LOL, I just watched a few hours while he was hyped about it.

Any ideas?
If you can reset the board and play it out with woecleaver it's vicious with sudden Genesis and warpath. But that's not easy to do, only pulled it off twice.
There is a popular Gunspire OTK deck floating around, that I've tried myself, and It's a ton of fun to pull off the combo, but the deck isn't very viable. You could also try Emperor Thaurissan + Faceless Manipulator + Bouncing Blade shenanigans in Wild.
thanks for the responses guys. I actually tried a recruit warrion in wild with the Bouncing Blades. However, due to my opponent having minions, the bouncing blades barely ever hit my gunspire lol.
Well, at the very least I wouldn't dust it. It is a card with potential. I tried it in wild with a baku quest deck. You run one Bouncing Blade with it, not too many taunts (Start with Stonehill Defender and Phantom Militia and add a few of your favourite taunts to finish it off. Sludge Belcher, direhorn and tar creeper are all excellent and I don't think you need much more than that. And then add all the control cards you can find.
It all synergises pretty well, since you want the board cleared for the ragnaros hero power anyway. Not to mention that the hero power helps a lot with keeping the board clear. The extra 24 damage will help a lot in this deck. No need for duplicating shenanigans.
Also consider trying a non-baku version. I don't know which deck is superior yet.
So I got Blackhowl Gunspire... in freaking golden.

i guess you could try some shenanigans with Bouncing Blade in wild but that would be just a meme deck for sure
