Hi everyone,

so as everyone came with the Keleseth Rogue wave, I kinda wanted to try it too. But unfortunately I don't own Prince Keleseth and don't feel like crafting him, so I decided to break the meta with my own similar Rogue deck. And I ended up with this Jade Rogue, which really surprised me with the results.

I tried to have something against aggro match-ups (such as Mistress of Mixtures, Fan of Knives) because of the nuber of the aggro/tempo decks on ladder. And against control match-ups here is the whole Jade thingy + insane value with Shadowcasters and Valeera the Hollow.

The deck is still evolving, so any help, advice or recommendation is really appreciated! If you don't understand something, feel free to ask in the comments!

Playstyle

Control Match-up

In early game try to have as much tempo as you can. Don't save your removals agaist something big, just sap opponent Priest's Raza the Chained right after he plays it and swarm the board with your Jades. Cycle your cards with card draw such as Bloodmage Thalnos and Fan of Knives.

If your plan to destroy your opponent before he even start doing something, you have the second plan. Try to outvalue your opponent with your Jades, save your Shadowcaster for some useful cards such as Aya Blackpaw or Jade Swarmer if you really need that Jade to come up as soon as possible, Vilespine Slayer for enemy's high value minions (for example The Lich King). Than you can use these copies (or even real minions of course) with Valeera the Hollow twice, which is just insane. But be careful to use your cards in the right time the right way!

Against burst classes such as Freeze/Exodia Mage or Highlander Priest try to save your Valeera the Hollow for the turn you know they'll burst you down, so you can delay the turn and try to kill them earlier.

 Aggro/Tempo Match-up

Try to control enemy board with your spells and throw down as many minions as you can. Don't care about value too much, you need to outtempo the opponent and as soon as you'll stack your Jade's stats to 4/4 and more, you basicly won..

 Midrange Match-up

Try to have the most tempo you can in the few turns and than decide if you should go for the value or just pressure the opponent with even more tempo. Save your removals for some scary minions you know the opponent will play.

Mulligan

Against Control

Try to go for Swashburglar, Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit, Shaku, the Collector and Sap or Shadow Strike.

Consider even going for Aya Blackpaw, if you know the opponent won't play much stuff until turn 6.

 Against Aggro/Tempo

Go for as much early game tempo cards as you can. Mistress of Mixtures, Swashburglar, Jade Swarmer, Fan of Knives, Jade Shuriken, Backstab and maybe even Bloodmage Thalnos for cycle or 2 aoe DMG Fan of Knives boardclear.

 Against Midrange

Since you want to outtempo your opponent in the earlygame and than outvalue them, go for something like Swashburglar, Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit, Eviscerate or Shadow Strike and Shaku, the Collector

Replacements

Against Control

2x Mistress of Mixtures -> Another Sap and Journey Below or Sherazin, Corpse Flower or even Cairne Bloodhoof against heavy control decks or annoying Priests

2x Fan of Knives -> 2x Mimic Pod or another Preparation with Sprint

 Against Aggro/Tempo

Sap -> Vanish

2x Vilespine Slayer -> 2x SI:7 Agent or 2x Tar Creeper

And consider even Shadow Strike -> Doomsayer

If your collection is poor

Shaku, the Collector: Since he is here mainly for value, not for tempo, I'd say Mimic Pod, but if you struggle against aggro, you can easily put in Tar Creeper or SI:7 Agent instead.

Valeera the Hollow: This card is almost unreplacable, because it provides you insane value and multiple options. But if you don't own her, go for Sprint or Gadgetzan Auctioneer which don't replace Valeera the Hollow by any means, but definitely should help you...

Patches the Pirate: Insane card to gain tempo in early game. You sould definitely consider crafting him, because he is used in every aggro/tempo deck and he is just insane. But if you really don't want to give him a try, Preparation or SI:7 Agent can be useful.

Bloodmage Thalnos: Insane and staple card. You should definitely craft him if you play Rogue, because he provides you all you want - cheap card draw, combo enabler and spell damage for your Jade Shurikens and Eviscerates to hurt more. Loot Hoarder would be cheap replacement, but not efficient.

Aya Blackpaw: Simply unreplaceable. She stacks your jade golem's stats to insane numbers when you copy her with Shadowcaster, N'Zoth, the Corruptor respawns her and so on... If you really want to play this deck without Aya Blackpaw, Cairne Bloodhoof can fill the 6mana slot or even cheaper Gadgetzan Auctioneer to speed your deck up.

N'Zoth, the Corruptor: Another unreplaceable card. This deck is pretty much unplayable without N'Zoth, the Corruptor, because you can do just insane things with him and Shadowcasters. He is insane on his own. I would go for Leeroy Jenkins as finishing tool or Gadgetzan Auctioneer for speeding up your deck instead of having that insane value.

Updates

5.11. 2017

Journey Below -> Shadowstep

I found out that you don't need another random deathrattle minion, if you can make more copies of your minions with Shadowcaster by returning her to your hand.

The reason why I like the Shadowstep more is that it's more versatile. You can return back Shadowcaster for more insane value, Jade Spirit for more immediate jades, Vilespine Slayer to more control, and even N'Zoth, the Corruptor for swarming your board turn after.
