This is the first successful control hunter deck I have created among many, many attempts over the last few years. The key is Toxic Arrow. Don't worry about falling behind early. You want to give your opponent a false sense of confidence and then wipe them out with a poisonous AOE.

The goal of this deck is to win through attrition in the late game. You can often win before needing to use your Deathstalker Rexxar. There is enough AOE in this deck to clear any board if used properly. Each card in this deck has a very specific purpose. For instance: Loot Hoarder should be played along side Corpse Widow for free card draw.

Board Clear Combos:

6 Mana (Full Clear): Wild Pyromancer + Fallen Sun Cleric + Toxic Arrow

7 mana: (2 damage + 1 damage + 2 damage) Exploding Bloatbat + Wild Pyromancer + Play Dead.

*Only use the previous 7 mana combo if you are desperate or really need to clean up deathrattles or divine shields since it will use up a lot of your resources.*

8 Mana (Clear Opponent's Board only): Use Smuggler's Crate on Exploding Bloatbat to prepare in advance for this combo: Exploding BloatbatToxic ArrowPlay Dead.

For the previous combos you can substitute a Terrorscale Stalker for Play Dead if they have both been used on Devilsaur Egg

9 Mana (Full Clear): Baron GeddonToxic Arrow

10 Mana (2 damage x2): Exploding BloatbatCorrupted Seer

This deck is designed to support the Abominable Bowman. As such, there are only 4 possible beasts to get from Abominable BowmanExploding Bloatbat, Corpse Widow, the Devilsaur Token from the egg, or the poisonous cobra that came from the Venomstrike Trap. You will almost always get a 5/5 from Abominable Bowman since you will be summoning up to 5 before you even play N'Zoth, the Corruptor.

You should be looking to drop a Devilsaur Egg or Meat Wagon as soon as possible. Ideally you want to use Terrorscale Stalker + Play Dead on your Devilsaur Egg on Turn 4 or 5 depending on whether you played Meat Wagon.

The Curator is critical to your survival. It will always draw your Alexstrasza and your Corrupted Seer. These are your most important late game cards.

Alexstrasza can keep you alive or help finish off a high health opponent. Corrupted Seer does 2 things for you. It will help clear your opponent's board and it will help pop any eggs you have left on the board.

Abomination serves these same functions in the mid-game as well as being a 4-attack taunt minion which priests hate. The Abomination's deathrattle can also force your opponent to kill themselves after you resummon it with N'Zoth, the Corruptor.

REMEMBER: Your health is not as valuable as armor gained from Deathstalker Rexxar. Use your Eaglehorn Bow to clear minions and use your health as a resource. Alexstrasza can always heal you back to 15 health but cannot regenerate your armor. Protect yourself from losing your armor once you use Deathstalker Rexxar. Pick as many taunts as possible from the build-a-beast hero power. Taunt + Poisonous for the win!
